Well pretty damn good day weather wise, not too hot, no rain.

My times were well down from normal, but still a fairly enjoyable day. Congrats to those who took home championship positions, or at least someone's trophy (ehehe).

It's only been about 1 year and a 1/2 but I finally made it back hsdance.gif

Posted a 62.09 with my egg box on it's maiden outting which I'm stoked about happy.gif

Team mate ran a 61.4 I believe and will run faster with a few more tasty bits biggrin.gif ...

and the Hipower Racing CRX claimed it's category win for the year so a big congrats to Ivan and Rob for another successful year thumbsup.gif

hi guys..

yeah we won 2 Championships BACK to BACK ...PRETTY STOKED!!!
(i suck at losing!! you should have seen my face when i thought we lost the championship tongue.gif )

and im very glad Louis(0EG60) ran consistent 61 and JAMIE ran a 62 secs consistently. this has prove that hipower racing can build fast civics too not just CRXs...

the bad news is me and rob are seriously thinking of retiring the CRX from QR's Saturday Sprints. as we have already proven our point with the CRX and we would like to give the chance and encourage other drivers to win the championship in the 4 cylinder road class.. thumbsup.gif

so far the plan's for next year is unknown.
we would like to either try to ...
1)join the "Race" series next year,or
2)join the top gear series or
3)maybe only prep our CRX for the Autosalon Magazine "Timeattack"for Wakefield.
all depends on Rob's and my schedule next year.

however i will still be in/on QR's Sprint evenys to support my customers like Jamie and Louis. i want them to break the one minute mark.be patient guys we'll get there.

To peter from AMEC... Congrats on your win in your class, bro it's been a hard long year haha....
overall i like to thank the organizers of QR for an event well held. and also our supporters for beliving in our little beast. bowrofl.gif last but not least a great thanks to my friend Robbie for he's excellent driving. bowrofl.gif

it has been a great 2 years. i enjoyed myself the past two years but it's time to move on.
the point we went out to prove was...

what is HorsePower without HEART??... RACING is all about HEART! wink.gif

got out there about 2:30pm, grabbed my R32 drift car outta the shed and sat up off turn 6 for a look! WOW! i really want to ome out for some sprints events!

there is some quick cars out! and things like the renault Clio's having the left rear wheel off the ground thru the crossover and turn 6 is interesting to watch!

Congrats to the hi-power boys, that little thing looks quick!

Commodore hit the tyre wall hard on the National circuit during practice for Top Gear. That was it for the serious stuff. Couple of S2000s had some issues again, not quite sure whether going back out on the track was a good idea for the red one. And the driver of the Peugeot hatch really needs to learn that getting out of the car whilst stranded off to the side of the dipper is a very, very bad idea.

Congrats to the HiPower Racing for their win, and Fleet/AMEC for their win as well.

Was a pretty good day smile.gif Low 62's but np PB, was hoping to be in the 61's again but I have heat issues with my brakes and clutch that needs sorting biggrin.gif

Are those Clio drivers on here? Had a fun run with them when I caught up and eventually passed, although the blue one *almost* took me out, he should look before he moves back to the line.

Well it was a good day i ran a 60.23 so i was pretty happy with that for this time of the year. Also got 3rd in road 8 so i was very happy biggrin.gif But the sad bit is no more racing for a while unless i still have it when lakeside opens then i will probay have to go out for a run.

Good stuff on the win, same to all the others with the trophies hsdance.gif

If you retire, that gives me a tiny little chance to maybe get 2 points at an event tongue.gif
But entering 2 cars to replace you wont help me much tongue.gif
When will HPR work on the mighty 2zz? I think the problem is the weight (and stockness) of my car, I still have plenty more to tune into it in suspension alone.

What made it scarier was as we passed by him he was pushing it back up hill back into oncoming race traffic ohnoes.gif

If the Japanese have developed parts for the Runx; and Celica I'm sure Ivan could help you out there ...

But we sacrifice alot of creature comforts in our cars to get the little buggers to go

I know of plenty of parts to bring my car down to around a 60s lap. But that involves lots of money, maybe 10 grand, and being a student doesn't help much tongue.gif.
I'll have to see what lap times my mate can do in his modded one if he ever gets his PFC retuned.

thanks for your comments guys, we finally won the series after 3 years of trying!! hsdance.gif it's tough when you have to beat a GT40, we got lucky in the end, looks like the GT might have some problems as he didnt show in the last couple of rounds???

Reliability has been our strength, our rebuilt VG30DETT has been running now since Feb 2006, taken serious punishment and I think we only missed 1 sprint round since then, with no issues to speak of smile.gif It runs 23 psi and 366 RWKW every day.

thanks to QR for putting on such a great and fun competition. next year we will aim to do the Top Gear series and give some other guys a chance at winning the title in Road 8.

congrats to Rob and Ivan for their back to back wins, awesome stuff!! see you guys next year no doubt smile.gif

All the results are in the spreadsheet... you just need to scroll horizontally...

woohoo I came 52nd! go me!

how pissed would you be if you were Eddie with the birkin S3... missed out by 1 point :/ (obviously if the HiPower lads had made it out for one more event it would have put the contest to bed completely...)

that is one of the reasons why we are leaving saturdays sprint events.. if we were to attend all 6 meets.. we will have got 120 pionts... full points..

but winning the championship with only 5 meets.. kinda makes me feel that there is no competition...
we really want to give others a chance at winning. dominating the sprints is really not our intension..

sorry i don't mean no competition in that kinda sense.. i mean look at our car... it's not really a road car. we should be racing it in the race class with EVO's and stuff.. most road cars have interiors and stuff.. our car is stripped to the max..

i dont intent to deregister the CRX because i might still want to put it to relatively road car spec and sell it later down the track..

it not a competition because our CRX has already reached another class.. RACE CAR class..
but because our CRX is road registered we have to race in the ROAD 4 CLASS... i really think it's not fair for the other ROAD 4 competitors...

of course im happy and proud to win the championship back to back... but i see no great PRIDE in it.. in a sense because we should be racing with GTRs EVOs GT40 etc.. if we had won the RACE2 title .. i will be stoked... because it is more of a competition to our car...
(i know it's weird for a CRX to want to challenge big cars.. haha...)

next year really want to build a EVO6 for ROB... i believe he will be able to pull an excellent time with a 4WD turbo car.

but we will see what happens... wavey.gif
