Yeah I have coilovers in it, and was running 36psi in my front tyres and 32psi in rear (cold pressure), which I have found good from experience. The main problem being is that I can't power down as early as I would like and the tail won't try to kick out until coming out of the corner.

Oh well, it will give me something to work towards next time.

so then to correct understeer if you have coilovers, you need to stiffen your rear shocks and/or soften your front shocks.

also you are running way too much tyre pressure if you are running semi slicks. those kind of pressures are ok for street tyres, but not for semis. as Jezza said you should be running something like 28psi cold.

You wouldn't want too much camber up front? only 2-3 degrees??? I would of thought any more than that and would want to start looking for some bigger sway bars?? Correct me if i'm wrong but too much camber reduces the contact with the road and thus reduces the braking ability??

yes of course there is a limit, depending on tyre size, tyres, tyre pressure, stiffness of the chassis, suspension settings and brakes you should run camber to suit really. For example with the Hoosier tyres it is recommended to run a good 3-4 degrees of camber or more. Have a look at most of the alfas and some of the other regulars you will notice they run at least -3 and some alot more. Personally i run -3.5 front with 3.5mm toe out overall, i have found this is a pretty good setting for me, with no understeer experienced, but just a little oversteery. Theres alot to play with really! All about testing it out biggrin.gif

That seems like a very aggresive toe setting ?

A rear wing and front canards would probably help ...

I know having some down force makes turn 1 ALOT more friendly to negotiate smile.gif

Hmmmm...

Just to be clear, they ONLY squeal at very low speeds, as I said like creeping along at traffic lights, anything else they're beautiful. Concerns me if I'm the only one, but I always thought the downsides to them were excess dust and low speed squeal.

Or am I the only one who uses them on a daily? dunno.gif

Once again congrats to those who pulled off PBs

no fade on the track, work fine on the street (better than EBC greenstuff when cold) and you can get them from The Brock Shop at underwood

No fade, stop reasonably well cold, I happily live with them day in day out, they're the harshest pads you'd want for street driving, 3000 series or higher will just munch through your rotors. I purchased mine from V-Sports in Sydney, the official distributor is Competition Friction in ACT. Send emails to both, I noticed there is a difference in prices between everyone (oddly enough V-Sport was cheaper than Comp Friction)

ha ha i got owned by some much lower powered cars with my 63.62!!!

I had a blue onevia out there. 200rwkw's on 8f/6r springs on no name front tyres and bridgestone rears. It was my first time out.

Looking at removing my 27mm rear sway bar before the next event as i think it's over kill when i'm not drifting and thinking of going to semi slicks.

Few ideas though after reading this and a few other threads.. I'm running Lukas TRW pads up front and didn't get a sniff of break fade at all which was good but i noticed a heap of downfalls in the car to improve for next time!!

you can always improve the car but ive found most of my improvements have been from just cutting more laps. if you really wanna go quicker just come out as often as you can, and why wouldnt you want it...its great fun! biggrin.gif
