umm probably around the $250 mark in box.. i could go a bit over i spose just something that sounds good and is a known brand

For $250 listen to the JL 12w0-4, Alpine Type S and Hertz HS300. Have a read around the audio section at the fast fours forums for some good advice, some of Australia's top guys post there.

*edit: Oh, in a box. You might have to do some bargaining then. Don't be tempted to go with anything less though.

GCCS, had a 12" Type R alpine one for 275$ but not in a box, hmm

a candence one in a box would be around that figure.

can u build the box urself?? its alot cheaper that way

get a 230$ sub and build the box up for 30$ ish dry.gif

One word of advice autobarn aint the best place to get subs from as the cant do much of a great deal JB HI-FI have an awesome deal on a pioneer 12" boxed for $289 at the moment but they might even do a betta price for ya go in and ask.

In agreeance with Shell on this one....my 15" MTXs haven't let me down yet....taking into account your budget, other brands worth consideration should entail Alpine or Pioneer although it must be said that $250 doesn't buy that much of a sub these days especially if you want it pre-boxed....maybe you could save a bit more initially & then consider your options then? Up to you at the end of the day so good luck with it all mate thumbsup.gif
