Anyone would think the only cars decent enough for time attack are AWDs with those pics. Would love to take my S15 to one of them, you need a licence and safety equipment to race dont you?

Looks like a awesome day, how often do they holds those events and do you need CAMS licence?
Can anyone show up or is it invitation only?

looks an awesome day lovin all the cars there

You don't need a CAMS licence to attend. You do need a QLD Raceway licence which is about $55 a year. You need a helmet and long sleeve non flammable clothing as well as a car in good running condition.

All car makes and models are welcome. The cars are grouped in classes based on performance.

There are only a limited number of spaces available on the day. This guarantees good track time. To get involved PM me your email address and I will add you to the mailing list.

To get to the November 28 date, you will have to act fast as I have alrady started taking preliminary bookings for this date.

Yeah that BMW is quite the car. I was lucky enough to go for a passenger ride in it on Tuesday. It's got about 450hp from 2500-7500rpm and some stonkin' big brakes. It pulled some of the fastest times of the day. The GTRs and EVOs had nothing on it FYI. Although that'd come down to driver ability too wink.gif

A lightly modded Evo IX was quicker than the M3 on the Clubman circuit, and only 0.36 slower on the National circuit ...

Thanx for the photos~Well the evos are fast ard the track and so is that m3, ill be out trying harder with adjusted suspension settings n etc in November to fly the GTR above both~~LoL~

You tell em' Jyo.

Current fastest car for our time attack events is a black R32 GTR with R34 wheels and some serious engine and suspension.

It hasnt been out for a while but it will return again. Even faster then before. Stay tuned.

Keep on attacking the track Jyo your car is awesome and has what it takes to be quick.

Was great to see you bring your girlfriend out to the track also. We really need more females at the track. Especially female drivers, we've only ever had 2 female drivers in the time we have been running time attacks.

Come on girls where are you !?!?

Thanks also to everyone else who came out to the day it was fantastic. look forward to the next event in November. thumbsup.gif

Yeah thanx David..! ive heard about that black GTR32, russell's car is it? Heard he has over 500bhp at all 4 wheels and lotsa work done to it too..Yeah i will definitely be back in November with hopefully better suspension settings and tyres..was quite a bitch to run mismatched semislicks front and rear but not too bad i guess...
Well every performance car has the potential to be fast on the track, it all boils down to the driver and of cuz different settings on each car...but kudos to everyone who made the trackday so successful and such a great fun day out....Leave the speed to the track, not the streets.
As fer my girlfriend, well it's her first time out to the racetrack and well she did enjoy it~so yeah i do encourage females to come out and just have a look too, in a nutshell, its just a day out with loads of adrenaline, good fun and laughter!
Keep the speed alive and live life in the fast lane~

Yeah mismatched tyres can be a bit off putting at times with the different grip characteristics etc best to keep the same front and rear.

You could certainly tell that the springs were a bit on the stiff side for Queensland Raceway. You could hear the car bouncing along the straight between turns 1 and 2. Hopefully all that will be sorted for November.

racingminds
Post #61

Yeah it was bouncing pretty bad thru turn 1...hopefully it will be all sorted out by november, tyres, suspension and alignment settings, looks like november is set to be the biggest day in 2006~
