Been a long time but seems like the cruises have matured so much since my last run to Noosa. Man that was a nightmare at least I had a cruise buddy with me otherwise I would have been bored/frustrated out of my mind. |

I know i'm just a newbie to this site guys but just remeber that UHF channel 16 is used as a maritime safety and general broadcast channel by all marine traffic and being that close to the coast you guys could be recieving and transmiting a lot of unwanted traffic so changing to a channel other than 16 would be a good idea. |

Isn't it more like "turn left 4 times, pass the police officer and pay them 200?" EDIT: Aren't they right turns???? |

3/ As above.....TRY to have as many UHF radios as POSSIBLE! The Boostcruising channel used for cruises is 16......but when you start at the original destination then a different channel can be decided. When on the cruise and radios are being used, please talk as much as u like, but when someone starts broadcasting important information, dont shout them down with crap. Take time to rememeber who has spent their free time organising said cruise and respect that. |

QUOTE(mmmm gtst @ Mar 22 2005, 08:32 PM) do many people use them? it would be real handy for cruises... i dont want to buy one if its not used by many people........ thx damone IF you go on organised cruises you will find most people use them. They are very handy (and cheap these days too) and can help you avoid getting lost |
