QUOTE(Co8ra @ Aug 19 2006, 07:03 AM) I think its pretty funny that FEEEKy wasnt part of many forums til he decided to throw some guys name acroosss the internet, for a story that no-one understands. I wouldnt pay for that job But i know who the trimmer was, and many of you who haved bagged it out have also drooled over his previous works many times "it must be true, it was on the internet!" he has been on this forum for over a year.... so what if ive drooled over his other work, look at this one, if the customer couldnt afford the job, the trimmer should have said no instead of doing a dodgy, the trim job looks like a nasty home job a novis could do, there is no excuse for this at all. |

QUOTE(the red krawler @ Aug 20 2006, 01:17 AM) Bringing up the price quoted is kind of irrelevant here. Look at the state of the car... Its not even roadworthy anymore! It reminds me of us getting our skyline repsrayed by "a certain company who shall remain nameless but gets their name plugged every 3 seconds on the internet". We went there and asked for a price to repsray the car in white with a slight pearl through it. We were given a price. When the job was finished, the car was complete shit. Massive paint runs, orange peel, etc. Obviously we whinged, and after several visits finally got it to an acceptable standard although with much bad grace and comments that really shirted me off. One was "This is what you get for a cheap repsray" (we never asked for a CHEAP repsray!) and another "Cars leave factory like this" (if a car ever left any factory like that, the quality control guys would get their arses kicked).... I can imagine something similiar happened here. Can you really imagine the guy went into "that company" and said "Look I dont care how arse my car looks, I want to give you 5k to fuck up my car with poor quality workmanship and dodgy materials"....?? The standard of that work isnt even first year apprentice work. How can anyone running a legitimate business even pretend that work is acceptable? I dont care how cheap a job was, I would *NEVER* pass off such shitty workmanship. Oh and I dunno about "lots of cars" from that company that we've drooled over.... I took a tour around their incredibly professional web page (lawl, lawl, oh lawl!) and saw all of 1 car thats been done, and I would hardly get over excited by the standard of that either... Hogs breath, right? QUOTE(evaded @ Aug 22 2006, 10:44 AM) He only started posting in this thread though. Yes this isn't work I would pay for but considering the person is getting a $9k-$10k for $5.5k one would think that the jobs that are paying full price would be at the top of the priority list. Thus it would take a tad longer. Perhaps there is a bit more to the story than what is being told? I'd sure love to hear an excuses that justifies the gaps, poor stitching and poor quality of the job, if the job was CHEAP it should have involved possibly cheaper materials or less of the car done (seats only, no dash, whatever) not done dodgy, i doubt the trimmer saved money by doing it like that.. Perhaps you're a little too opinionated for your own good. Oh and all the retards getting upset over people SARCASTICALLY saying "wow thats a great job". Relax for christs sake, you're going off your nuts over something so petty, anger management hey. |

QUOTE(evaded @ Aug 22 2006, 01:29 PM) Or perhaps people jump to conclusions before knowing everything. Where did I say there was an excuse for the poor work? I suggested there is perhaps more to it. Perhaps it was dropped down the list and the job was rushed at the end. It is a huge drop from what has been done in the past. So instead of arcing up like a little brat just accept that their may be another side to the story. Perhaps there isn't, perhaps this is the whole truth. However you make yourself look like a pratif there is more to the story. Just so you don't arc up again that last line wasn't directed at you it was at everyone. Stop acting like there's something excusable about the quality of work. |

There is no excuse for work like this. if it was a cheap job, then it should have been done with cheap material, or not doing as much to the car. This is just bad workmanship, and poor quality control. |

It should never have left the shop like that. As I was saying there just may be more to the story. I don't know but things are almost never that black and white. |

Hes a good bloke, just doesnt have good time management skills, he only just recently moved into the new shed he is in now, so im guessing that he was still setting up alot of stuff, the place was a hole when i went there but yeah. What concerns me the most is that he hid away from her and tried to do the job that day, a 3 week job in 3 hours and thats the results. Hes been good to me and the rest of the people that i no have gone to him, but quality oversets kindness well said pemma. top bloke. seems to have gone to shit. and that looks to be paint from a nearby panel works settled on it... |

Again...I've heard a rumour that this was Cartunez....now that hurts. Cartunez has only done TWO full interiors and both customers were happy with the results. If you want to check out a Cartunez interior have a look at Brett's 53XUS IS200 when you see it. We would never let a car out of the shop looking like that commodore. If you want to know who did the interior PM me of FFEEkY. I hope no other reputable shops have been accused of such shitty work. ![]() |

Thats why I reckon it sucks that you cant name the shops involved. All that NOT naming them does is spread rumours about who it COULD have been, and other legitimate businesses get burnt in the process. |

LOL at idiots saying you get what you pay for and its a cheap job, do you realise even if the interior was suppose to be a cheap job you don't go and rack up 800km on the car, fuck the steering, the motor and thats not all dust you see it was left parked uncovered next to another car getting a respray, its covered in overspray and not only that the body has developed dents... |

MTA(Motor Traders Association) cannot issue fines or even defect your car. I am a mechanic and an MTA member ![]() Only the Police or EPA(Environmental Pollution Authority) can issure fines or issue defects, please get your facts straight. If your Mum's BMW passed a RWC prior to sale, it is irrelevant as it is counted as a safety inspection and is not really thorough. That is why I always recommend getting your own mechanic to inspect any car you wish to purchase. ffeeky: Any updates on what happened with your car? |
