Hi,

there was an article written in the last year about this conversion.... can anyone remember where? Or whereabouts I may find it?

Just an idea i may decide to follow up on.

thats actually a pretty easy question to answer.

a rotary engine is much easier to produce power out of than a wrx motor.
a rotary engine is much cheaper to modify than a wrx motor.
the size and dimansions of a rotary engine is perfect to fit into a wrx engine bay and the postioning wont affect the wrx's low center of gravity/
there are allready places that make subaru to rotary bell housings and flywheels. there about $1200 from memory.

so there are actually good reasons to do the conversion. its just much easier power..
