Nvm I'm thinking of the other Caltex closer to Geilston Bay... Ok back on topic now! But man if you want something custom, drop something in do what YOU want to it, yeah it will cost you more money it will be alot of fucking around but you will get what YOU want in the end. |

QUOTE 4) get some kick ass cams, there a bit more expensive but if done propperly can give u massive power gains as well as more tourqe at specific rev ranges, ect... some cams give u mad power at 2000-3000 rpm while others make ur motor shit house untill ur at 5000+ rpm and then u go like a cut snake price: lots... $1000+ hhhhmmmmm....waste of money....rb20de is a pov pack engine...spending 1k-1.5k on cams would b a huge waste of time.....thought it was goin to be budget mods!! massive power gains?? lol!! wouldnt exactly say that unless u went for some massive lift/degree cams but then im pretty sure ud need upgraded valve train etc QUOTE if you do want to get a turbo engine get an RB25DET MUCH more kick. put it this way a stock RB25DE will own an RB20DET down the drags and an RB25DET will do both over backwards LMAO....gotta be the biggest joke ive heard!! u on drugs mate?? dunno what uve been watching! maybe if it was a dr. drift rb25de+T...but otherwise ur dreaming mate!! QUOTE im preety sure the breaks on gts/gts-t/gts-4 are all the same, its the gt-r that have larger ones. My gts-4 has 2 pot frounts and 1 pot rears and its the same 4wd setup as the gtr gts got pov pack brakes....same as all nissan non turbos, they go brakes the size of a saucer, while the turbo models got brakes the size of a pizza tray! brakes vary in nissans heaps....countless different calipers and rotor sizes/thickness QUOTE so breaks and suspension will be fine. breaks a suspension wont be fine!! with a new engine more weight is put over the front struts and severely effects the handling! the suspension in it now is more than likely stock and is well and truely over 15y.o by now, definately wouldnt wanna throw a turbo engine in it and go for a drive to find a strut collasping and sendin u into a bank etc! before u do any serious engine mods its commonsense to do suspension/brakes or atleast make sure what uve got is in good condition! please ppl only giv advice if u know what ur talking about! |

Whoever said the brakes would be fine is a fuckin idiot. How bout we take the brakes off your car? Cause thats how underbraked Muz's car would probably be without a suitable setup! |

Yes delazy because only a dr drift rb25de-t could possibly make power. QUOTE f you do want to get a turbo engine get an RB25DET MUCH more kick. put it this way a stock RB25DE will own an RB20DET down the drags and an RB25DET will do both over backwards Just for a real life example, harolto's rb20'd r31, pulled consistently better times at the r31skylineclub.com drag day against juddo 31s rb25de r31. and the rb25 isnt THAT much of a performance boost, stock they are more powerful sure but modifications even things out. |

QUOTE put it this way a stock RB25DE will own an RB20DET down the drags and an RB25DET will do both over backwards Hmmm, big words there, at the drags we had R31s with different states of mods, one had a 200+KW Rb25DET that got beaten by a 170kw RB20DET (was close, but RB20 had it) i had Stock R31 exhaust (1.5inch or some shit) Stock R32 cooler (in the engine bay with no cold air feeding to it) and i ran a 15.8 with that, and 15.3 with no exhaust, the RB30 R31s (N/A) were running constant low 16s with exhaust, and CAI, and Juddies RB25DE powered R31 did supprisingly bad in the hot weather, but in colder weather it was a close race (between mine and his) i know that driver skill and alot of other things come into it at the drags, but this is what those cars did, if your not after big power, and are on a budget then IMHO RB20DET would be the way to go, if you have to keep a car NA, then go RB25DE (both engines can be had for around $1000) -Jake |
