I wish I had boring shit to post up.

I quite like it - you immediately notice the big dark, dank wall on the left then the light in the lower corner leads yo to the scooter and you think "oh... a cute little scooter, what's this doing here?".

don't think i'm having a go at you, i just thought with the talent you have you could be a bit more bold and make bit more of a statement, you know really make the scooter stand out more.

Fark, to everybody else i can't critique somebodies work like everybody else without being blasted, especially harry who has his 2 cents in everybody else work. to me harry is better than that photo and could make it work better, but hey everybody on this site has only seen a sample of his work and not everything.

Hey man,

I think u took it a bit the wrong way - Parko wasn't having a go at you and neither was I, he was just putting in his 2 cents, critique from different people is often very different, all opinions are equally valid.

Also - You'd be suprised just how much of my work this site has seen. This site has taken me from a 17 yr old Kid with NFI to what I am today. This was the first place I ever posted any of my shots - about a month after I started playing with my D50... Hence the 40 Page thread! - Longest thread in the photography section - not bad for a yr and a half!

I've just had a flick through your site (and your flikr page) and you have got some pretty fucking good stuff on there man. For someone using a 350D, you produce some epic shots!!

I'd love to see you expand your portfolio from motorsport, although sometimes the arty farty stuff is not for everyone.


Slightly off-topic: I lost my licence a couple of weeks ago which is farking annoying because I found a great place to do some shooting - it's a couple of brand new underground train stations in Perth. Hopefully I'll be able to find the time to get up there soon. I'm really excited about shooting something interesting for once!

I also have a set of B&W high-contrast shots which I did a few months ago to help my GF out with a uni assignment (she was doing it as a unit and she SUCKED! LOL) only prob is that they are still on her comp and she's in Singapore so I'll get them off there asap.

Now I'm going to stop being selfish and do some C&C ing on the rest of the forum!

I have no idea what I was thinking when I was typing but I'll have another go at it now I'm not being pushed off the pc.


I think shot 2 is very good, the desat suits the mood but the angle is what 'makes it' for me, it somehow shows the feeling that someone has bailed from there, which looks to be a less-than-awesome place to chillax and so forth.

The other angle of the same wall looks like someone's just turned and clicked, it seems to me, not to have as much for-thought or planning.

However they're both a lot better than anything I could produce, I just thought I'd comment.

I totally agree with you on your comments, I've got to concentrate more on making sure they don't look too 'pedestrian' in their angles, otherwise they can look crap
