ive posted this in general to try and get a quick repsonce so i can get my car finalised... if mods want to move it to car talk them feel free to smile.gif

howdy ppls... ive sinced tried to crank over my car since the conversion and i cant get it started... it hasnt started since the conversion... im getting spark but the red light is flashing on the ecu and the orange light is turning on while i crank it.... the digi dash is giving me errors on the codes "RPM" and "REF"

does any one know what those 2 codes mean?

when i crank the car over the rpm on the main screen is quickly displaying 250rpm every 1 second or so.... does it get the rpm from the crank or from the cam sensor?

btw the ltx12s i have was mapped for a 2jz and not a 1jz. i really want to get this sorted so i can get it tuned for the toyota cruise

The meanings of error codes can be found in the manual supplied with your ECU.

Ill have a quick zap through myself, but thats as much help as i can give you as i never recieved a book with my 2nd hand microleb

"ref error could be faulty CAS, bad leads, EMI from altinator"

thanks champ... any help is awesome. downloading now

mine is a 2nd handy aswell.. i got a hacked up loom and ecu and made a whole new loom myself

would the ecu stop the injectors from opening if it found something wrong with a sensor?

im unsure of there impedence on the sard 850's compared to stock injectors

CAS... crank angle sensor?

matty at pits said that there was a few 2j's with different cas sensors to a 1j but most shared the same sensor... some have different teeth... i can only presume i have the one with different teeth... if this is it then it looks like im sending the ecu away to microtech for a remap sad.gif

is there any way of getting a 1j map onto the ecu without sending it away or does the ecu need to be opened to write a new eeprom

Im not sure if they are that advanced to do that, I know i had a red light and flashing orange one night and i drove home fine. Ended up being a ignition error or something.
Good luck with it all

i dont see why it would be your alternator. As your car cannot even start. So Im thinking towards what you said about your CAS. Im pretty sure mazfix could do it ? Im not certain but ring both them and microtech.

hey buddy i had kinda the same problem with my gsr, the microtech didn't have a cold start program or sumthin and it wudn't turn on at all in the mornings or wenever it was cold, take it to extreme automotive at underwood, they put the cold strat program in it and tuned it a bit for around 200 buks and its been perfect ever since
