yeah im guilty of one good one!! looked down and looked up and the car in front was dead stopped, i, however , had no chance and slammed the rear of their datto 200b. result........one injured hilux and one destroyed datto

surprisingly enough, out of my group of friends. Im the only one who hasnt crashed yet. However, a small truck hit the front of my car, an EA falcon reversed into the rear right guard and a motorbike hit me up the rear!

i cant vote coz as while i have clipped a gutter once accidently (mums car) , backed into a car in total darkness (brumbles) , backed into a low lying crate (my old coupe) , the closest match in your list is 'small accos all the time' which isnt really true when u stretch those incidents over 5.5yrs of driving dry.gif

oh and once in a work car i tried to squeeze into a carpark that had all these aircon pipes and shit right next to it and i scrapped the bumper with one i couldnt see as it was to low. oops . would have buffed out but i never told them about it and no one said anything biggrin.gif soit never happend ok ph34r.gif

I have had nothing much at all in about 8 years of driving. There was one kerb incident, however I was being silly at the time. The only other one worth mentioning was a scrape against the garage wall. I have had numerous close calls though.

I tailended a Lada Niva in my first car. Other car didn't have a scratch the bastards. I put it down to inexperienced driving.

ph34r.gif guilty. I got my P plates the day before i went on a 6 week vacation to Canada and the USA. Upon my return, I borrowed mums car, and as i looked down at the tacho, i must have turned the wheel, cause when i looked up there was a parked car. God only knows how the hell i managed to do that, but hey thats life. the car was a total write off. i felt REAL bad about what i had done, and yes to this day i AM embarresed, but i can tell you one thing, it has made me a better driver, i make sure that I concentrate alot more. tongue.gif

I backed into a 4WD in my old works company van, was pissing down rain & the rear window was fogged up. I'll be damned if I was sticking my head out the window when its raining!! The tosser decided to park in the middle of the roadway in the car park so was really both of our faults. I had to pay for both repairs as it was cheaper than the excess. Only busted a tail light, so only a minor shunt!

dude you got ripped off majorly cause 10% of 3600 isnt 600 bucks its 360....

but yeah im guilty of writing of my first car which was a subaru....poor thing, and just when i was starting to appreciate my parents buying it for me....
i was going to fast around a bend (120-140km/h)when i hit a sharp rise in the road, and due to the soft suspension the car had, it jumped up and started to drift, and that wasnt the problem the problem was that i was starting to drift onto oncomming traffic, and so i shit myself and overcorrected, my car ended up being impaled by those road barrier things that stop you going of the roads/mountains/bridges....
because i hit the barrier head on, not the side of the barrier, it came up over the bonnet and the bonnet pushed it higher and sure enough through the windscreen and furthermore through the passenger side window... wacko.gif it came out about 2-3 meters from the passenger window.... sad.gif
very lucky to still have a brother at the end of that ordeal, due to him sitting in the passanger seat... sad.gif
so now ive learnt my lesson and dont drift/speed on the roads cause when your in a drift you cant do much to prevent an accident if your heading towards one...
but luckily i walked away from that accident scott free, cause the driver of the car that i was headed for head on lied to the cops for me and said that i wasnt speeding.....nice bloke, he knew that i got scared outta my pants after the crash and that i wouldnt be doing that again....as for some other cockheads they didnt help especially a young couple that LIED yes thats right LIED to the police and told them that i ran a red light earlier down the road!!!
however i still managed to get out of everything scott free due to some other circumstances wink.gif

After the accident my parents got even with me the best way they could, since they purchased (most of) the car for me they decided the best way for me to lean my lesson was to take every cent that i got from insurance, and that i had to work very hard for my next car, and being a uni student that didnt help either, so for the next 10 months i went to full time university (doing IT not something easy like arts tongue.gif ) and worked on average 30 hours a week at bunnings on a rate of something shitty like 12 bucks an hour and managed to save about 12K in the end to get me my beautiful dream car..... my silvia!!!
so there you have it, i think i really wrote too much but the strange thing is once i started i couldnt stop sad.gif

Got rear ended on the motorway by a crazy woman driving 20 k over the limit with her lights off in the dark. Picking the car up at the smash repairs this friday, been 6 weeks without transport. not happy ~_~ I always figured that my first accident because i was doing something stupid. Scares you a bit when you are minding your own business and someone just reams into you at the back. Gonna be driving like a granny from now on. wacko.gif

well well what a interesting poll - hmm
heading to Tafe a few years back - im parents 90 model Fairlane - bucketing down with rain car in front slams on brakes at a green light i do the same - but the little "colt" that was talin me for a few k's well didnt stop as well and bang then.... bang from the car behind and then the poor fairlane after just stopping under its own weight got forced into the commo with the weight of two rusty buckets - and i tell u those toe balls work wonders - rear of fairlane no damage scrath on back bar front of colt write off.

my cars :-
first car - Brand new lancer CEII blue coupe - no accidents (2 speeding fines sad.gif
second car - Nissan R33 Gtst - two accidents from ppl running into the car dry.gif
first while doing a u-turn a car that clearly saw what i was doing launched out of a sidestreet hitting the front passenger 1/4 and smashin front bar mad.gif
2nd two weeks later with front bar still broken just heading into town for a "drive" waiting at a set of lights... BANG - i get out to find a "colt" ran into the back of the car - rear bar all marked from the old black bumper of the colt again a badly damaged colt and the driver worked in a morgue :S
also a mate that felt like he could handle the power and drove it into the gutter out of control trying to show off his "leet" driving skills (MORON) (now a ex mate along with others)
third car - Lancer CEII blue coupe Turbo - no accidents.... till a VN commo desided to perform a U-turn right in front of me up Mt tambo - putting the car into a tree at 60klms on the opposite side of the road writting the car off sad.gif and two shaken not stuirred passengers and one poor turbo coupe sad.gif (but just happy no one was seriously hurt)
Forth car(current) - VTII commodore - no accidents 2 speeding fines sad.gif (already) im sure it needs an exhust car to quiet and cruisy tongue.gif

So meh - figure this two cars turbo two cars not - turbo = no speeding fines - n/a = speeding fines sad.gif
i guess wrong place and time. mad.gif
(next car = back to Turbo power) biggrin.gif

I smacked the front of my drifta DRF13, drifting back inside a wharehouse I used to use for drift. Had this trick of drifting out one rollerdoor and then back in another in one movement, but when I came out the first door the RPM was too low, it came off boost, straightened up and speared me in, a mate got it all on camera too. Knocked off the d/s mirror pushed in the guard and damaged the rim, covered me in broken glass from the side morror smashing.

Near Accident: Came around corner in the wet with a bit too much revs (low speed though) in my VL - wheelspin and she swung 180 degrees. Lucky it was a one way road and no cars. Ended up crossing 3 lanes and parking parallel 1 foot from the gutter - just facing the wrong way!

Learnt: I'm extremely cautious in the wet now and ease off at the first sign of loss of grip....

Very Minor Prang: Travelling along Gold Coast Highway (in from the esplanade) and the charade in front indicates to move into the left lane and proceeds to move over. Hoons in an escort come up on the left and yell into my passenger window distracting me. I look up to find the charade has stopped in the middle of each lane! Put on the brakes but the VL had too much weight and hit at about 10kph. There was nothing but a scratch on the Charade's bumper - but it had compressed in my group A fibreglass front a little and one of the trailings had broken. Both parties decided to forget about it - it wasn't worth anything.

Learnt: I give a very decent amount of room - Even more than the 2 seconds I used to - just so you can count in distractions like Hoons. Because if the car in front stops suddenly that 2 second window is just barely enough... and if your occupied by distractions even for .5 of a second! Bang...

Minor Prang: Mates Skyline 33 gtst. First night I'd driven a turbo and I was dedicated driver. I had been transporting people all night and going on 'errands'. Final trip of the night and I took a corner with too many revs even though it was low speed (about 40kph). Due to inexperience I didn't expect the turbo to kick in when it did and she started swaying. Not in tune with HICAS i was fighting it which resulting in a spin and slide down the road (note: 2am in morning). Mounted a gutter and hit a pole with the drivers side front end. Resulted in a bent lower tire control arm and panel damage to the front guard. All up repairs were $800 and a LOT of taxi driver for my friend that week smile.gif

Learnt: Respect the Turbo! Respect the Hicas! It was due to inexperience...

Overall I've been fairly lucky. $800 expenses and I've learnt some very valuable lessons that I won't forget. Nothing like hard coded experience to make you careful!

Unless you count rolling the race car at speedway, but that wasn't my fault this stoopid woman spun in front of me and I had no where to go except up up and away laugh.gif

I had a lady reverse into me on Waterworks Road (main road). She was doing an illegal U-turn and had to wait for me (and the rest of the traffic) to move so she could reverse. So I went to go because she had stopped and she then decided she wouldn't wait and hit the back of my mums car. Cost about $2000 to fix I think.

Never had an accident myself. I like to thinks it's because us female car enthuisiasts can drive biggrin.gif

But, I will also say I hate chick drivers! They are the worst! Specially ones in zippy cars (small two door coupes.. excel's, lancers, charages.. you know the ones)

Ive had a few prangs.

Firstly in my Corolla a Cabbie cut me off, and I T-boned him at 60km/h = $4500 to my car alone.

2nd, had 2 in one day. One was my fault = Did $300 to my car, very minor.

And then cabbie pulled out in front of me = About $150 to my car, also very minor.

And I've had a fwe gutter hits in mums car, reversed into the roller door, that was a fuckup and a few grand to fix unsure.gif

But yeah, Lancer is doing alright so far = Humps a wooden table.
