Oops sorry "family business company car". Do you own the GTA? I choose my cars and I have an opinion on "rice boys" who put Type R and the like stickers on their car. A lot of them probably think the muffler gets them extra power! I also said that they probably put a stock muffler on a custom system then put a better muffler on to see an increase. |

Da Lude, Gonzo's have been around for years. I remember reading about them when I was like 14 (7 or 8 years ago) and they were good then. If drag cars such as top fuelers and the like are using them, then they must be a good company. |

ok guys, everyone is being a bit narrow minded when saying that a muffler cannot give extra power. you really dont even know what a gonzo muffler is if your saying that.. |

QUOTE(Mr_Sleepy @ May 25 2006, 06:07 AM) a gonzo muffler is not a normal muffler.. a gonzo mufler has a spiral baffel inside that twists the airflow which creates a venturi (vacume) effect which means that the muffler is actually draging exaust flow out of the system.. therfor its like attaching a vacume cleaner to the end of your exaust pipe. which means that not only does your exaust system have no back pressure, its actually got a vacume affect in it.. so the quicker you pull the exaust gases out of the engine on an exaust stroke, the less exaust gasses are going to be in the next cycle. Well yes it's true I don't know what a Gonzo muffler is until you just told me ![]() Can the gains really be that good when were talking about a muffler upgrade at the back of the car which is usually about 3 metres away from the engine? Does anyone know how they sound? I want to upgrade my exhaust but don't want it sounding like shit (I'll take 1kw less if I can have a good sounding exhaust). |
