ok im alittle confused, and if u guys can help it would be gggReat!!

i -think- that the tx3s were built by mazda, but is the Mazda 323 AWD turbo (1986-1988 i think) the same as the Ford TX3 turbo??
like:
-engine
-trans
-drivetrain
ive googled and cant really find much info sad.gif
any help or links would be greatly appreciated!!!!

3) Yes the Mazda 323's and Lasers were very very alike.

Hey

the mazda 323 (familia) 4wd turbo from 1986-88 has the same engine as the KE laser tx3 turbo, the engine is a Mazda B6t.

with the kf,kh laser tx3 turbos, they had the same engine as the Mazda Familia GTX (engine number BPT) with the only difference being the ecu. The mazda Familia GTR however has a BPD engine and this is an upgraded version of the BPT with stronger internals and a huge factory turbo.

The 87-89 Ford Laser 4WD Turbo is Made by Mazda as a BF.

It comes with a 1.6 Litre Turbo (B6T) Engine and 4Wd gearbox with Difflock. There was also a FWD version. The Laser Tx3 (KE) and the Mazda 323 (BF) is exactly the same in engine and driveline etc.

The 90+ Laser KF and KH came with a 1.8 Litre Turbo (BPT) engine. it ONLY came in 4WD version and is equal to the Mazda Familia (BG) in Engine and Drive line. The For though did not have a Mazda Familia GTR version though that comes with a BPD 1.8 litre turbo with factory race computer, large injectors, T3 size rally turbo and factory strengthened internals.

There quite a few FWD version of the above from doing BPD or BPT engine conversions. The 1.8 can also easily be put into the older KE Tx3s and BF 323s

The Mazda Version of both engine have an extra +-10 kW to run on Japans 100 Octane Fuel.

Its all Mazda Technology.

Yup, the GTR Familia is a wicked car.
I've had mine for almost 3 years & i love 'em.

With around 3k spent on it, i got over 160kw @ all 4 wheels
from it. Just a FMIC,3"zorst,Pod & 18 PSI!!! thumbsup.gif
