Hay people today i went to a shell servo to get a roadworthy to transfer over the papers..... well the car did not pass he was a really picky bastard haha.. but now to the point... the car did not pass because of a few little things..... he said there was a oil leak... i got underthere and because of me doing a oil change the other day there was just a little bit of oil residue on the oil temp thing..... but not leaking or dripping at all... after he did all this crap he said to me that i have to come back to him with in 14 days to get all the things fixed and if i go to another place and the car passes roadworthy that Queensland transport with be on me and the place that past it is that true or was he just bullshiting me for my money
and lastely he said that the car will be reported to qt i am really confused have the laws changed

Wait a few days or so before going to another place to get RWC.
You can go to another RWC place and enquire to them about if another RWC place can actually report you to QLD transport etc etc.

if you were to wait a few days then go to another garage, who is to say you did not fix the original problems in that few days?

yeah shouldn't have a problem, go to who ever you know. And plus most auto places would be like that cause thats a very easy 50 they make for nothing. If thats the only problem he found degrease engine and go back, probably some other nut might right more problems down.

If you do not return to the original place they will submit the failed roadworth to queensland transport. If you have another one done by another company shit will hit the fan for you my friend

Go to moss st mechanical (behind red devil radiators at the kingston rd end)
the mechanic bruce there is really good, he does all my shit and road worthy's ( i have been buying and selling a few cars lately)
he wont pass you if the car is obviously fucked up (no windscreen/only has 3 wheels) but he's not a picky little bastard.

***this is in slacks creek BTW, and i'm in cleveland.
i think he's worth the 30 min drive for me to take my shit to him.

The oil residue part is a little on the harsh side..

But he is right as far as reporting you to qt if you dont have the vehicle passed by him within 14 days.

If he gets audited and qt look thru his rwc book and see a faild rwc with no report to qt he can actually lose his inspectors licence for 6 months (first time)

let him submit the failed roadworthy... coz if you fix the problems he told you about and another roadworthy place passes you the onus is on them, not you. If the car is deemed roadworthy by another workshop qt has to attack the workshop not you

even if he does report it or whatever he wouldnt know if you got the stuff fixed or not..

sounds dodgy to me

Mate id be fixing the problems and going somewhere else. No where does it say you have to go back to him again, as long as the problems are fixed. Although when I had mine done they didnt charge a second time to check the things I had to fix. Its was just a once of $50 fee. You will have to pay $50 to a second workshop if you go somewhere else.

LOL...
He told me some other things that he got "X" for...
Fix them man!
I hooked you up with one already... just fix it and off you go.

Don't go back to the same servo, its a ploy to get more money off you.
QLDtransport can't pull every single car off the road just to see if they're roadworthy.
