All depends on how much power and what you want to do with the car.

Good luck

Anywhere from 2.5k to 10k +

Could easily sink 15-20k into it

All depends if you want reliable or cheap

get the whle shooting works, the US ej257 sti motor, that would be your best bet, well what i would do if i was in your position anyway. there is an RS with the 2.5 in it making close to 250kw at all four wheels.....

Why dont you just buy a turbo version then if you havent got it yet? Will save you a lot of money/hassles/time in the w'shop. You cant just bolt on a turbo & expect it to produce the numbers. You'll need to either decompress or rebuild the engine for higher tolerances, replace & tune ECU, injectors, fuel pump, turbo, manifold, exhaust, intercooler, clutch etc etc.

A 2002 RX will set you back around $30K but will have depreciated a bit by the time you're looking to buy. Add the $10-15K to mod the car & you would have been better starting off with a WRX/Legacy as the basis.

Best to speak to someone like Rogoli's in Sydney as they have plenty of experience with Soobs! They'll itemise exactly what you'll need for your budget.

Buy a B4, it'll be alot easier they are a complete package straight from the factory. If you want to go a conversion talk to Sunspares at Yandina on the Sunshine Coast, they specialize on everything Subaru and have a dedicated person for the coversions.

The WRP10 isnt anything special, just a riced up factory subbie. better to spend the money on upgrades to a base WRX, will get far far more HP outta it.

And yes. Depends if you want Reliable or Cheap.
