Yes there were some good shots of forum members and their cars. Lucky Nawdy isn't in his old job or he'd be putting on a lot of beer!!! Looks like you JSTTRY and myself kept pretty well out of shot!! haha

I agree with you all, it was a very positive story and hopefully should encourage more people down to the strip for the meets. Maybe the only downer about it is that it was on ABC at around 20 past nine on a Friday. I'm not sure if it was a good time or channel to reach the targeted people. ie. these people who do go to TDZ. Yes we all knew about it so we watched it. If I didn't know it was on I would have kept watching the Panthers beat the Storm!!

I thought it was a good story, but it just felt like it just made too many points, and left them floating. Nice line, saying we're not the fastest car here, but we're not push overs either. Very convincing... Well done.

Bit of a shame I didn't see myself in it. ^o^

I really do hope we end up gettin bi-monthly street drags, that'd really help push it off the street and onto the track.

there was some in car footage of the Heat...it consisted of a tacho redlining somewhere around the 6300+rpm....
and to think I could have taken the jouurno for a ride instead! head_wall.gif
T&T got rained out...the cars ran for a little while but the rain hit late afternoon.

Very positive projection of the sport, and clearly got MJ's message across, I thought. Could I please get a copy off someone as well? I would be very grateful.

ABC obviously have great taste in cars, and black SS's in particular.... looked good, didn't it???

Not worried about big smoky burnouts vh, I'm looking for traction :-) !!! Smokin burnouts stuff up your tyres (when the rubber cools, the compound hardens beyond what it was originally, thereby providing even less traction) unless you are running drag compound tyres of course. My tyres were still sticky the following morning!!!

That's why I got a second hand set of tyres, And if you run low pressure e.g 16psi a good profile such as no less then 60 more so 65 I've never had a problem hooking up with traction.... better a bit wider too the 205's slipped a little compared to the 225's from last year. And guess what my tyres were sticky too the next day....except they were piled on the back of the ute... down to the wire...

I'd love a copy of that DVD too....
