Guys just spoke to Amanda Morgan the journo that is running the story. She confirmed it is on tomorrow night but after the Popes funeral so might have to set the video....she stated they did have to mentioned the illegal stuff but assures me it is a positive story...lets hope so...I got bitten by another station who shall remain namless some time ago.

I'll light some incense and candles just to make sure and take the voodoo doll out of my office just in case it is needed!

wow huh, journos are moles... shoudlnt there be a heap more on the meet then on TDZ? it might give the public the wrong idea... but alas, VH will say a prayer

Lets just wait and see what they run huh before we go burning people at the stake....if anyone gets burnt, its us...lets just see. They will run something contraversial to get the interest in the story so people tune in...Amanda said they were still cutting the story when I spoke to her...so they are still putting it together. She said it is fast, pacy and is a good news story....thats good enough for me. I'll worry about my future on monday morning if its bad...

OK just saw the Stateline ad...no probs...(he says)...the clip of illegal street racing is the one from our web site that was downloaded from the net...a clip of our car running down the track (fully sic man..lol looked good) and someone doing an awesome burnout (which of course if quite fine at proper facilities)...so lets watch and see...they are promoting it as 'illegal street racing' and what the police are doing about it

Let's hope they do put a positive spin on the story, and show how good the street meets really are.

Hopefully some of those who frequent TDZ for the wrong reasons might watch it as well and change their minds about visiting TDZ. It's unfortunate, but it'll probably take something major to happen (without any police involvement) to one of their own before some of them come to their senses. Hopefully, it's not someone's life.

Is anyone doing whatever it is you do so it can become a computer file? As you can tell, I'm a real computer nerd...

if you have a digital camera is already in the format required once you transfer it from ur camera to puter... other than that i aint sure whose doing it ohmy.gif tho im told by paulie its on a dvd already

anyone know if i can tape something on tv, then plug the cords from my video camera into the tv/video and tape it onto the camera to put on the computer.

well we'll see wat happens tonight, friday night is always busy at TDZ, hopefully it wont end up 2 be a positive outlook on racing friday night, and then satday morning fornt page " 2 people die due to illegal street racing". Its bound to happen sooner or later, ppl just dont take care in wat they are doing. i mean yes they can do it, but in a safe controlled environment away form others. well we will see wat happens wont we............ yo paulie, u comin out wif us 2night?

it could have the opposite effect. people will find out where all the action is and head out there!!! I must admit, the first time i found out where it is, i drove past for a looky and came home again.

well ppl as was stated by a few of you , i hope this makes ppl realise that TDZ is not a drag strip or burnout pad, i have been there for a chat and rest from the city and the police have been through in the divvie van and said "you keep it down and take your rubbish you can stay here but caught doing anything you shouldnt be doing and we will rain on your parade and hard" so its been stated some of them dont mind us there but only if we behve becayse we are not in the cuty annoying anybody...... and for god sake ppl keep your eyes on the businesses down the end as thats your ring ins for the police....

Top story in my opinion. Good footage. Good interview. Top stuff alround guys. The Fast and the Furious referance was an expected eye roller though. Not much focus on the bad side (TDZ) either which made it a much more positve story.

well thats was the hit we all needed to see hopefully and there was sure some SIC footage especially take notice ppl the 370HSSV's ute having more footage that nearly all the cars besides the heat lol ..........

Agreed.

They focused a lot more on the positive than the negative, and really only used the illegal side of things to reinforce how stupid it is to drag on the streets.

it's been taped for me to watch later as i got bored of nothin on tv so went to a friends house.

even mum admitted it was positive so that was good.

Phew!...glad thats over!
Congrats guys and thanks for all the support. I thought that was a pretty good story, well balanced and it didnt focus on one particular thing....it focussed on the problem, the club initiative, the participation by you all and then the support that we give to sanction it and help develop it further.....
Did you all note the words "the King Cobra Club are looking to introduce bi monthly meetings next year"....what did I say....you support it and show the demand and we can push to have it more often.
In saying that though, twice a month means twice as much work and twice as many people needed to help out...the more hands we have, the lighter the work and the more time to go racing!

Very good story. Some nice close up shots of several forum members. I thought it portrayed everyone very well. You can tell who the professional public speakers are, just lucky you didn't have to wear makeup tongue.gif
