How many generations of WRX and subaru still can't hold a driveline together?

The XR6T of course, completely debadged with persuits and a crimestoppers sticker.

I'd go for the B4, no offence for what you currently drive but I dislike Falcons and Commodores on principle. They make you look like you didn't have enough taste NOT to drive what everyone else does, they can only be modded so much on a reasonable budget, and "AUTO"? bleccch!

I dislike WRXes for much the same reason - but the Liberty? Classy and a tough little beast to boot. Just my opinions anyway - your choice dude!

Thanks guys for the opinions.
B4 is looking pretty good at the moment, but it depends if I can strech the budget.
I have put the Ford out of contention but maybe I might go a VX SS and drive it for 2 years and get the new Liberty then when they drop in price a bit

B4 for me. Just love the boxer burble and they are a classy looking car and I love the handling of the AWD. Fords and holdens are a bit boring and are really designed for sales reps. tongue.gif

XR6T then see Nizpro in Melbourne.

Why did this thread go beyond here?

11.3 @ 127 for 9 grand and a tank of 102 ron unleaded (street legal) yes please. (gearbox might become a weak link but if you got an auto can get a toughened box for 2 grand)

Plus you get lots room, great highway cruiser, modern leccy bits and a good suspension system that give a well balanced car.

I just wish I had the money to get one.

VX SS.... but if you could find a top notch XR6T, I'd be tempted to swing that way.

Why go APS when Nizpro have the edit working to perfection. Nobody would ever know plus it runs like factory cause it still is.

Nizpro - Cobra kit all the way.

I dont even know how anyone can compare the kits.

Compare boost levels between APS and Nizpro and see who's really making the power wink.gif

i'd go with the B4 then probably the VXSS but the B4's are nice

People, thanks for all your thoughts, but I have decided that I will go for a VX SS.
It is the cheapest car out of those and after going over some finances it is all I can afford, Plus i didnt want to piss Rick off!

Now I have to find the right one.

Personally I'd go for the XR6T but in manual. I've generally been more keen about Holdens (but am a mitsubishi fan), but the BA's are very good products.

I have driven a VY Clubsport (auto though) and while it's good (ohh that rogasmic V8 sound at full throtle) and after test driving a friends XR8 and another mates XR6T I was really impressed with both, but the XR6T just stood out for it's sharper handling (less engine weight over front axles) and there no doubting it's performance potential.

I would worry about Rick, hes not that big hahahaha

From Experience i would go with the B4. My dad works at Holden so i have had a chance to drive everything that they have produced, and nothing really compares to a B4 in most aspects. Plus as mentioned before, the subaru resale value will always be higher then your other 2 options.

The only issue some people have with the B4 is the 'valley of death', the lull between the end of the first turbos power band and the start of the second hit of boostly goodness. on a B4 the first turbo come into song around 1500rpm, and the second turbo kicks in around 3500ish. Admittidly from the factory this can be noticed whilst driving around town, but if you are looking at modifing your car, a good ecu and tuner can all but erase the VOD making the transition between the turbos feel seemless.

Dont forget that all b4's also come standard with leather interior, digital climate control, macintosh 7 speaker sound system, and best of all - 4 cup holders. If you do have any more questions about the B4, feel free to drop me a line and i will help you out as much as i can.

cheers

Do you have a logical reason as to why Holden and Ford suck or do they suck because you dont like either of them? dry.gif

Anyway I would go with the XR6T. smile.gif

Actually Champ, the B4 is an Australian Delivered car, not an import. and i bet that in a single 4hr drive around the brisbane city area you could not see anymore then 2 B4's. Not quite lemming material now is it....... rolleyes.gif
