Hi all,

I am in the market for a new car at the moment and I have come down to these 3 choices.

I havent driven a Liberty at the moment but will drive one in the next few days.
I have test driven an XR6T in auto which went pretty well.

My previous cars were a VY SS Ute and VX supercharged V6.

Fire away people, help me decide.

is his manual?
Because I have driven one in manual also and it was a bucket of shit.
The diff clunks heaps bad and the gearbox was very, very hard to change gears.
If I do go the XR I will not be getting a manual because apprently they all have the diff clunking problem because of the diff ratios I was told.

well personally i'd go the holden over a ford anyday, but my mate owns a XR6T and they go farkin hard.

XR6T MkII for sure.

unsure.gif B4 all class and you won't feel like a Sales Rep and/or Taxi Driver. Plus with the added bonus they are actually built to last and the lack of depreciation is another major factor to weigh up.

In the end it's your choice drive them all and whatever feels right for you...... hsdance.gif

XR6T

Fords are cool again tongue.gif

... and fast!

personally, it'd be between the xr6-t and the b4
i love b4s, but haven't driven one.
so i'd have to choose after a test drive.

I'd take the B4. But only because i'm old and I have to drive to work in heavy traffic everyday.

If I could get over 60km/hr i'd probably buy the XR6.

B4 all the way.... Way too many xr6t and vx-ss out there.. You'll feel like a taxi driver or gov worker like someone else has said here.

definatly NOT the b4 if it is the twin turbo version (not 100% sure on my subies) the new 05 liberty GT's are great but the twin turbo version never really performed (only talking from a modification point of view)

if you planning on leaving it stock ignore my answer.

i wouldnt even bat an eyelid, with all the PROVEN aftermarket gains in the XR6T, i know where my moolah would be getn spent.

XR6T + PhaseIII kit ? tongue.gif Gives about 320rwkw. Would make for a nice daily driver.

I've also heard a few owner complaints about the twin turbo set ups on the B4. And I don't think you can overlook the good points of an Xr6T. If I was using common sense Id be more inclined to look at something like the ford however if I was more willful I'd be tending more towards the B4 - just love the look of these cars. I think it will really depend on how your drive of the subaru goes though....

i think id pick the B4 or liberty GT and put some deep dish rims on it and drop it on its arse... that would be pimping... drool.gif

BSIDE
Post #27

liberty GT would be hot. turbo all wheel drive is hard to go past.
190kw, 0-100kms in under 6 seconds.
plus the ford will lose will be worth half as much the second you drive it from the showroom.

Sif buy a B4.... Personally, go an XR6T... a MkII if you can (with the 6 speed),...

XR6t with a phase 3 kit from Nizpro, 18" GT wheels, remove spoiler and lower it a bit...

Gimme a year wink.gif

subaru for sure
all wheel drive and they dont deprectiate in value anywhere near as much as fords and holdens.

if youve got alot of money to spend tho id go the xr6, get bored and get the phase3 thing theyre talking about (320rwkw sounds nice). of course, hooning in a rwd car is always more fun around corners (note the amount of stacked skylines for a while there)

good luck with either thumbsup.gif
