Ive got a mates mums 180 at work, 2 of the nuts on the manifold which bolt the turbo, have come loose over time, causing the gasket to blow its ass out, it sounded shocking when i drove it in.. im just wondering is it possible to change the turbo to manifold gasket in the car, because after taking all the intake hoses and shit off, and the dump pipe, and the 2 remaining nuts, but with the oil and water lines conected and the engine mount, i can only bring the turbo down about halfway past the studs on the exhaust manifold,(about 1cm) spose i might have to take the manifold off and do it all outa the car? ![]() thanks ![]() |

i believe the easyest way is to take it to a shop to get it done, i got mine done on the exact same car spec wise at ADD and it was well worth it, |

yeah it was all good, i got to work this morning had a nother look and there was no way the turbo was coming out, or even enough to get teh gasket out, because of the engine mount, so i unbolted the manifold and took the whole lot out and fitted the new gaskets, manifold and dump pipe on the bench, soo much easier.. i forgot to take my digi cam, coulda made a nice tech article, but it'd be a bitch without a hoist... took me 3 hours to do it but.. no farkin room what so ever for anything, spanners etc.. bs.. |
