i cant beleive how much you all assume. comments like i have no driving experience and shit ive done more driving legally than most of the p platers driving around now so tell me whats the difference between us saftey wise. and u say i wont learn my lesson well i have i aint goin drivin anymore unless i have to to get to work or somethin and i aint speedin. a few people said about a cow i can say with 100% there is no chance of a cow on the road or anything without me seeing it. and the roads were dry and well light up i had high beem on and there were street lights. u also assume they let me drive home. they didnt they said if i did and i got caught i would be thrown in the watch house over night. so i called my brother and him and one of his mates dropped me and my car home. all i was doin was suggesting some shit and u all jump down my throat. i can see ur point bout night time and less visability but as for the learners part why should a learner have to wait 6 months if they can drive well enough to past the test after 1 month. why can p platers who barely scrap through be able to drive with fully loaded cars. another thing u assume is that i think im a good driver. i no im not the best but i also aint the worst out there and thats all i was sayin. and i have payed my fines for speeding $250 and driving on L's $120. |

You fool! ![]() i will tell you now, with absolute certianty that if you were driving over the speed limit around a blind corner regardless of your lights being on high beam, or dry roads if a child or a cow was there chances are you'd hit it. the road speeds are set in such a way as to take into account possible driving risks/conditions like wet roads and other unavoidable hazards. the speeds are also set so motorists can travel comfortably and safely. just because your commodore can take a 65 corner at 80, it doesnt mean its safe. you have too much faith in yourself as a capable driver. the reason you, as a learner has to wait 6 months before sitting the test is so you can gain experience with driving in many different conditions as possible. in my opinion 6 months is still not a long enough time to prepare you for all the hazards that exist on the roads. ive been driving for 5 years and i still get nasty surprises on occasion while driving, and i do consider myself a good driver. you want to know why people are jumping down your throat over this issue? its because theyre worried the next person to come flying around a corner at them will be some one like you, an inexperienced learner who thinks he knows all there is to know about driving after 1 month of having a learners. think about that one. |

I believe learners now get their learners at 16, but still get their Ps at 17. This means 12 months of practice, which I fully support. |

Its called experience look it up in a dictionary......... Hell i could of passed the test straight away but i had no experience on the road, with traffic, in the rain, night time, highways etc etc etc etc. Throwing someone with no experience into that sort of situation is asking for trouble hence the 6 months.......... face it you are a tool, your beliefs/wants are being shot down by more experienced drivers who know what they are talking about versus a young person with little to no experience....... If i was you i would listen very closely to what we are saying, it just might save your life or someone elses one day............ |

HAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!1 "WHY SHOULD A LEARNER WAIT 6 MONTHS IF THEY CAN DRIVE WELL?" mate.. driving experience is varied, even if u have driven for 10 years.. doesnt mean u have the sikest/uleh/yeahbaby driving skills in the world. lets take rally drivers for example, going at very fast speeds thru the mountains and all, one fuck up and they are gone, they are truely skilled drivers. and your here saying that Learner's should be able to get their licence as soon as they are "well enough" to drive? are you fucked in the head? The 6 month law is enforced because teenagers are so eager to go straight ahead and get their P's. They go for their P's and then they pass.. then they just do stupid things such as speeding etc.. which can result in death or seriously injuring yourself or the people in the car. You say you've done more driving than P platers, do u want a medal? are you cool? wow man im so proud ive done more driving than P platers. Driving requires CO-ORDINATION and THINKING before you do something, and if u dont.. you fuck up and kill urself or others. People can get their L's.. and drive, "oh man i can drive", thinking they are God on the road. Teenagers are eager to get their licence and drive.. most do stupid things. When you got caught, the copper shouldve thrown the book at you. Going 95 in a 60 zone, Idiot. you sound like the typical teenager, driving around like an idiot and complaining on a forum about ur problems, go tell ur mummy, tell her u can drive, tell her to speak to the government, tell her to change the law, she wont care, she'll tell you the same thing because it aint gona change, it'll just get worse. ![]() |

you asume a hell of a lot, ok you've done more driving then most P platers, well whats a normal P plater do? do you know, i dont and i am one? personally i drive about 12 hours a day for i'm a deliver driver (goods and that not pizzas) so i've driving god knows how far on my P's now take my good mate joe blog bigno he basicly drives to and from work, so maybe a hour a day now whats a normal P plate driver drive well ay. now saftey wize, mmmm i'd say i wouldn't know who has more, i'd guess i'd have more respect for the road, as driving 12 hours a day demands a certain amount of respect and i see dick heads liek you all day, and some days i see them around trees. mmmm no cow ay, well what about a child or a cat, or a dog, or a bin that someone has lef ton the road, your reaction time at 90 is a fuckload longer then at 60 now your not a very exsperanced driver as shown by your action so your reation/breaking time is furthermore incressed. now you say your not goin to drive unless you need to go to work or somehting like that, well have you ever heard of pblic transport or walking or eiding or skate bording or try this one on for driving with a open licence driver in the car omfg how orignal now jsut to be neet piccie you relise it is illegal to have you high beams on where there are street lgihts present (i think) but hong on with your awsome experance you should know the road rules but alas you've proved that you havent already. now i'm sorry for the bad spelling and that but i'm am tired and yeah, also i am NOT at all saying i'm a good driver so yeah ![]() |

It amazes me how this site can have so many self righteous wankers, and still function as a community website. How many people here can say they have never sped, or driven on their learners?? Im sure there would be a few angels who have never done this sorta of thing, but i would happilily bet my life savings (no jokes!) that 95% of people registered on this website are guilty. This guy did the wrong thing, yes, he may have been stupid, but hey, thats what young people do. How bout getting of your high horses you wankers and say something constructive! |

I've never driven by myself on my learners, and I said something constructive. Anyone so far who's said that he lacks the experience to drive by himself, and speed over the limit has been saying something constructive. whats your honest view of what he's done? do you condone it? |

I do not condone his actions whatsoever, however it disgusts me more how so many people are so quick to judge and call him a dickhead without first taking a look at themselves when they were young (or still are!). There are so many self righteous hyprocritical (not saying its anyone in this thread) wankers on this website who are so quick to judge others without taking a look at themselves first! |

ok im the first to say that im not the best driver in the world and yes i do speed and encourage burnouts at times just like every other 24yr old rev head does, but mikevn ur a cockhead absolute fucking wanker because A, u must have some one in the passenger seat at all times who has an opens licence, u must need glasses or u must of had some other type of test from another planet or something cos it was not in my test and B, ur dreaming if u think the govenment r going to change the speed limit at nite just because there is hardly any cars on the road they put those speed limits on the roads because that is the speed motorists can travel safely to and from. once again u r a fucking dick head |

Im not gonna sit here and say that i have never sped before because i can gaurantee nearly all of us have.. (maybe not to the degrees of 95 in a 60 zone) but we all have.. one thing i havent done however is drive on my learners, no matter how good a driver i thought i was... driving with ure learners is just stupid and to sit here and say you wont drive again on ure learners excpet if you have to go to work just makes u a fuckstick.. you waited 16 1/2 years to get your learners.. whats 6 months gonna matter? as for the whole changing speeds at night.. i think the speed limits are fine the way they are.. they are designed to make the road safe everyone... having ure licence is a priveledge not a right.. consider ureslef lucky that the copper was so leniant cos IMO little shit like u need a damn good kick up the ass |
