haha i remember back in the day we used to ride our bikes out and carry a huge length of rope then we could safely jump our bikes off with the rope tied to the frame...

although that stopped soon after my brother got the rope caught in the back tyre and went in up side down with the bike coming down on top of him laugh.gif

oh dear the stupid stuff we do when young....

I had previously put my down as attending but unfortunately I will now be in Brisbane that weekend sad.gif I didn't realise there were any other organised cruises other than those organised by ls1.com.au. I'll have to pop back in here more often since there are a few familiar faces/cars that I've seen around (Ralli, Itzwar, Steve, Droopz)

for this cruise, just a query, i think it would be cool if we drove the cars in "make" order, like xr6ers, old school holdens, 4WJives, imports and v8's. It could look very cool laugh.gif

In my experiance with these larger cruises I think we're gonna be hard pressed keeping all the cars together between lights, let alone keeping them in any order.

Just my 2c.

On another note, I might have to include the Super charged Cooper S to teh list and a our new VZ tonner wink.gif

So from here that makes;

Droopz - Camaro IROC-Z
Dave - 308 Purple Panel Van
Raymond - VP SS
Allan - Cordia GSR (if we fix it in time)

Thats just our little group though. I've let the local car club guys know and they're looking at sending up a few vintage and hotrods and alot of the younger guys around here are looking at heading up as well with their buzzboxs.

Sorry to say I CANT ATTEND. HRD herself is in the panel shop and wont escape in time. The N16 will be in use the whole day and I have to reassign my time sadly by happily to some greatly needed family time. Sorry I cant make it fellas! Hope all goes well though! Maybe another cruise I shall hope!

try and get one of the more powerful ones. i went half in a cheap uniden set, and i can't hear at the best of times. needs more power. should put some stickers on it.

I'm having a bit of trouble getting these permits through, it's gonna be last minute... as is the Norm for Darwin! But it shall be done...

'Barramundi bay' is all organised... the owner is offering free 'icey poles' for any kids that show up, but i'm sure we can scam a few for ourselves tongue.gif , i will be there with a group from about 12pm, for some lunch and you are all welcome to join us, remember be there for a 2pm sharp leave, so 1.30 at the latest!

James is all set at the Salvos, he'll be set up from 2pm with a recieving station and drinks and biscuits for all the cruisers....

and a bbq will be set up by a few mates of mine for those coming to cas beach for an after party, we'll have a basic sausage sizzle... so if you want anything extra cooked just bring some meet along! thumbsup.gif

I'll need a couple of volunteers on the day, just to collect donations and voting forms, so let us know if you are willing to lend a hand,

So not really worth it! Just make sure you are fueled up and ready to go, the drive should take about 40 -50 mins and then the return to cas beach!

Oh and i need a volunteer to be the anchor car! You'll need a radio and a passenger with a reasonable iq.... Your sole job will be to keep in contact with the lead car "the Heat" so we know how spread we are and to tell them to slow if a big group get cuaght at a light!

We will not have a police escort, other than 'the Heat' so normal road rules apply, as well as traffic lights!! thumbsup.gif so make sure we keep to one lane where possible, and no stupid behaviour, we will be in the publics eye for the first time...so let's not FUCK this up...
