i went up to hervey bay this weekend, and the amount of commos up there was unbelievably, about 90% of them were VN's and there was some real tidy ones. i think i may have to move up there, its my type of town. Bogans, chicks, sun, surf, party 24/7, yeah i think i could live there, although could be a bit of a drive to work and back to brissie each day, lol. tongue.gif

I lived in Hervey Bay for 3 years, and I can tell you right now, It's a whole in the world. angry.gif
I hate the place and hated the people. I would never go there again but my son and his mother live there.
If you like places where it's the same crap everyday, then you will love it. Oh yeah also every person I knew up there would backstab you in a heartbeat. And its the biggest gosip town I have ever been to, where everyone knows everyone and everything about them.

But as they say, this is one persons opinion, so every person to there own.

But it was the worst 3 years of my life.

HAHAHAHA i used to live there we go back every now and again and stay with our cousin in Urangan, i diddnt see too many commo's one baby blue one with a clubby kit, but there was a green 180 which was nice just shithouse colured in lights.

Best few years of my life up there when I lived there. Pitty we had to move. I still love visitiing friends up there though. We lived on the esplanade in Pt Vernon.

I used to go up there lke every second weekend. I love the place.

Only thing you got wrong up there was the part about the surf. The only time there is surf up there is when there a cyclone of shore. My cousins live up there and he has surfed 3 days this year up there. Good fishing but.

used to own a place up there -- and generally have gone up once or twice a year for the last 6 years or so - maybe more


havent been up lately -- i heard the car scene is getting better up there???

last time was there was only bogan cars -- pumping "who let the dogs out" of their 6x9's outside the surf club carpark -- with DOGS (read: feral femals) dancing next o the car -- not cool


might hafta check it out

wonder how they will take to a pearl pink 180?

I was in Hervey Bay a few months ago, we were walking down the esplanade.... a VN Commodore with a set of 18" or 19" mags came around the corner, and roaring down the esplanade in true bogan style.

What's so unusual you ask? He had a flat tyre (and I do mean flat, the rubber was getting close to coming off the rim). But despite the flat, he took the corner at a rather excessive speed, and proceeded to hoon down the esplande in the hope of attracting the chicks.

my gf has family up there..so i go up there every now and again..yeah lots of commos..but hey its a nice little sea side town.

yeah it would be a good cruise up there, i think it would have to be a overnighter, we stayed in a really nice motel, really good value for money, it was like $110 pernight, and $10 for every extra person per night so for me and the missus to stay over night it was a total of $120, but there are two rooms in the one unit so if you had two couples it would be $70 per couple, which is good, and they are close to everything, and got washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, a/c, lock up garage for the cars (most important thing), also its directly across from the beach, and a 2 min walk to the pub biggrin.gif . so i think this would be a good thing if i can get enough people interested. give me ya thoughts

i was born in the bay: lived there for 12 years. It was alright i guess, no much of an opportunity for a career. My family and i owned a beach house in Piabla. Oh how i miss that long jetty.

yeah, how long was that, missus wanted to go for a walk down there, i said away ya go then ill just wait here for ya biggrin.gif . but yeah as career wise, its going to be harder for me to get anything if i do end moving there, but the girl will find one no worries as she is in retail. im more into warehousing and shit.

hey guys...totally go to hervey bay hey...i was there a few weeks ago for the weekend and it wasnt too shabby! tongue.gif and im heading back there after my uni exams are all over on the 20th!!! And i fully recommend anyone whos old enough to go out...go the THE BEACH HOUSE...the chairs there are tops....all you car guru's should find them amusing! thumbsup.gif

and there so are heaps and heaps of comodores there..me and my sister went for a walk along the esplanade and she was counting the amount of comodores that drove past and came back past again and again...and there were full on 46 of them...they are everywhere!!

But yeah so go for a cruise up there...the accomodation is heaps cheap as bogan boy was saying!! thumbsup.gif

my mum lives up there and i go up there every now and then for a couple of days... almost every second car is a commodore lol u see some nice done up cars up there i must admit... dont think i could ever live there, its good for a holiday but gets abit boring after a while smile.gif

yeah, they people who have heaps of money up there and own like nice as houses and cars are a bit stuck up but all the young guys and gals are eaasi going. but yeah i posted another topic bout the hervey cruise thumbsup.gif
