First of all.. Nice choice of car thumbsup.gif

What is it Gsi or Vti-r?? Manual or auto? It's not a type r because they didnt' come out till late 99.

Engine: Gsi got b18b???? ~100kw and can easy be turboed compared to the Vti-r B18c vtec - manual only ~125kw because of high compression ratio. However, there is a turbo kit made especially for vtir, but i can't remember where from. Vtir respond well to breathing mods intake, exhaust, header, vtec controller or some other type of ecu, and best of all cams.

Bodykit: there are lots of bodykit going around for integras, call around to places like jetspeed, dmd, aresspeed... they also have website so you can check out the kits.

It's all up to you, depends on what your into (go or show) and how deep your pocket is.

Have fun modding

Kit and paint? DMD, Aresspeed, or FABTEC are some of the larger brissy shops that specialize in that kinda stuff

The latter of the 3 companies i wouldn't trust...but alot do wink.gif just shop around

I recon you should do the suspention first.
I did a mates 94 civic recently. Kings springs, KYB shocks, white line rear sway bar, front strut brace. All for about 1000-1100 bucks fitted brand new. Handles awesome.

Though, at 90000, id be saving for a timing belt first.

Body kits can range betweem 2000 - 5000 depending on who and where

Extractors about 400 - 500. The rest of the exhaust about 400. Don't go bigger than 2 1/4.

What engine is in it ? Where do you live ? Im sure people can recomend reputable places close to you.

Personally, i would do the suspention. Grab a pod filter (as it will have massive induction noise thumbsup.gif ) then do the timing belt. It will be fun to drive, make some noise and be safe to drive around, clock up some k's while saving for the big dollar items.

Unless your loaded, it which place, drive to workshop 'A', drop it off, them pick it up in 2 weeks with all the shit hanging off it.

I always find one of the biggest improvements to a car is its wheels. If you have large rims and low-profile tyres, it will definately make a large improvement to its looks and the way it drives. Low-profile tyres really helps the car stick to the road at those quick corners.

Initially I recommend get a pod filter and exhaust, as Chucky said above.

Hope things go well for your new ride timtamz.

hey guys thanks for your help. its a gsi automatic. im not too sure about the engine, as i said i dont know much but am wanting to learn all i can. im going to concentrate on exterior/interior/sound first. i was aware of the timing belt and that is going to be done in the next few weeks.

unfortunately my pockets arent that deep and the parentals think of gone crazy - a chick into cars?!!?! i live near aspley so if anyone can recomend reputable places that would be great.

thanks again. smile.gif

I import projector headlights/euro tail/side lights and HID conversion kits if you want to get it looking more like the 99-current model as far as the lights go. But as everyone else suggested, put a POD filter on it first. $100 you won't regret!! Maybe even go for a cold air intake if your going to stick to that engine and not planning on turboing in the near future.

Down the track, you may want to upgrade the engine to the Vtir model (they boost well on low PSI with high compression) or even put in a H22a VTEC engine from the Gen4 prelude (my fav!). If you're going to do this, you MUST get a manual box. Autoflatics are boring.

Hope to see you at a Honda cruise sometime wink.gif
