i know theres been countless debates on whats more powerful, more potential etc, but with your non turbo manual silvias with just a decent intake and exhaust, which has more go / reliability / potential cheers biggrin.gif

when i was lookin for my silvia i originally wanted a non turbo

i was only on learners so i got a mate 2 do all the test drives

he reckoned the ca18 he drove was faster then the sr20

both were manual with a zorst

personally id buy a sr20 though just cos they a newer engine and nissan is still making them 2day

not nessesarily (can't spell) faster, just like.. well stronger, nice and responsive.. if its faster but needs to spend half its life in the mechanics, i don't want it.

yeh, seems everything points to the sr being more reliable/powerful..

but, say you're planning to do an engine swap at some point... it doesn't really matter. (and don't say you wont want to do the swap, it's just a matter of time.)

if its just for na and na only, then go the sr. you need as much torque as you can get when its na.

My old sss (sr20de) when it was stock used to dust s13 ca18de silvias with intake and exhaust system

might have something to do with the tightening of the japanese emission regulations.
that seems to be the fall of many a great engine.
