Alot of us south - south siders meet at wello point, huge carpark (up to 250 cars) very well lit, no speed bumps, sometimes the cops can be a bit of a hassel but not often.

QUOTE
Also, alot of ppl are also starting to meet up at Canon Hill Mcdonalds, the car park is decent and half the area is an industrial estate

last wk i was there and there were 2 cop cars there both with dogs ... think it was last thursday or thursday b4 that ... anyway my point is im pretty sure the police cleared every1 off ... having said that i got a drink and sat in the carpark ... but they prob didnt care cause i dont have a "styleline" as boosting says.

okies being a southsider (camphill) check it, its like this ok (blatant fast furious quote)

carindale carpark under the bridge - yes i have been thinking of this place for a while used to walk through there on the way back from school, and i used to enjoy throwing carindale trollies of the bridge to the very car park below, there are many black marks there, its poorly lit and it smells but ! it has good access points, im sure low cars will have no stress getting in and out, its in a position that cops cruising by wont immediately see, and if we are behaved im sure that carindale security wont take too much notice unless they feel copious amounts of vibration under the range of human hearing (bass) from their bunker deep inside carindale.

metropol carpark - nice location i like it there but not an option as cops are already onto it checking it out regurlay even tho there have only been a few small meets there, its speed bumpy, high visibilty from the road and there are a few cars there even later at night so id say its a no goer, but feel free to push it

wecker road bottle o - good idea but very visable, many cops check out down near COC there on a regular basis and would be onto it asap but if a legitimate agreement between us and management could be reached then it may be a goer smile.gif

meadowlands carpark - nice car park, dont think we would have too much trouble with police but its cold, dark, unlit and pretty boring there so :/ and ditto about the minippi wynum road entrance

cannon hill maccas - yeah good idea but very visible from creek road, a valid option for a while but ! it could end up like every maccas, with a security guard with acne and attitude,

cannon hill bunnings - car park is a dream i mean perfect entry, no bumps unless you drive up near the front of the store, beautifully lit, nice location so i could easily see that becomming "the place after 9" if the storekeepers were kept happy (anyone know any as i would gladly contribute to the alchohol for carpark use fund) but cops could be the main problem there with it having high visibility from the road

morning side subway - i must say "the" stupidist idea so far, big fat copshop about 250m down the road small place and hell on low cars and no space, even out teh back

my own suggestion/dream would be the "metroplex on gateway" beautiful views of the river and gateway bridge nicely lit, nice smooth roads no bumps and still very local but ! its privately patrolled so i wouldnt even bother "sigh" i have heard about the big shell servo at nudgee alot and alot people are pushing it but i dont think people would be welcome there for long

just my 2 cents, actually more like 53 cents woth smile.gif

ok for starters....cops are going to find us wherever we go, can't you see that? rolleyes.gif I use to drive into this subway in a very very low 180 and I was fine, it depends which driveway you use, there are 3 on Wynnum Road, and all together including the back parks there are about 45 car parks. so before you start typing away next time.....get your facts straight please smile.gif

like beannie said, that car park under the bridge at carindale is no go(beannie and i and a few other mates used to use that as our meeting spot).
everytime we go there about 10 mins later we get kicked out by security or cops tell us to go away.

and besides have you seen the skid marks in there? people are always ripping it up in there.
If 30+ cars fill it up, cops are going to have a field day tongue.gif

you can try it if you want, but its not going to last more then one night.

i have my facts very straight, i know that in that morningside carpark at subway i see more cops driving by on a regular basis than anywhere on the southside that copshop there is big and a large base of operations

i went to the bike shop accroos the road the other day, driving home i passed 5 cop cars in less than 1km, i correct myself, its not "the" most stupedist idea so far, but i really dont like that place smile.gif

i was thinking how about getting permission from owners of businesses to organise a Location . IE Private since cops wouldnt tell u to piss off from there cool.gif Safer C) would have to be somewhere between logan and carindale .. Public carpark cops would have rights to check cars etc .. (As far as i know dont quote me on this) Private they would need permission from the landowner / businesses to do that But this wouldnt be a place for hoons... moreso only people who are interested in getting togehter having some dinner / lunch / drink etc.. and enjoy a nite out ..

only during the day champ, its closed at night

Hmm...
Interesting thoughts... can i suggest, that wherever you decide to go, Talk to the owner/manager
get it in writing - that you can be there ,

You have to kiss there asses pretty much - but how about if you find a place
have a big sign at the entrance "If you do a skid, or cause trouble, be prepared to have your car damage on site"

I am sure that no one will do anything then... if they do,.. then the lot of ya just kick the crap outta there car.. will set the example for other fools/tryhards, and you will be able to get a place withe permission alot easier.. and you be able to keep staying there..
i ma sure some ppl like to do skids and show off (like i do) .. i think we all do...
there is a time/place to do it ..is one little skid worth the cops hassling everyone ? .... the more trouble caused, the more you get hasseld, and less places to go..
think about it ...

Apology for long post

- i think Mansfield pub would be good, but jsut get permission ...
Also.. might sound dumb... Behind hte cannon hill shops.. where supercheap is (between shops and bunnings.. over 100 parks... (but get permission) !

maybe meet at the Adult shop.. next to mt gravatt police station.. oh.. even better... the actuall police car park.. lol..

This has probably already been said, but I'll risk reiterating ...

A) If you're going to start meeting at a private car park, it's a good idea to talk to the owners of the property on behalf of the cruisers that are going to meet there. Just ask them if they're comfortable with shit loads of cars meeting there and if there are any special requests they have if they agree to it (like no cranking up stereos or skids). Remember if you don't compromise with them they'll call the cops on you every time.

B) If you 'cut a deal' with the owners, then making others respect the rules can be very difficult if you don't call people up for being naughty. One or more people have to take it upon themselves to be the 'hall monitor' of sorts .... this might make people think of you as an old fuddy duddy but if the owners feel like things are out of control or if they get complaints from neighbouring residents then the police WILL be called on you.

C) Cops will more than likely keep an eye on the new meeting place no matter what. As long as people are not drinking booze where they shouldn't and no other crazy things happen then you should be fine.

firstly, that carpark which you have listed as number 1 is actually private property so that is a no-go
secondly, if you dont think there are many wogs and lebs in this area, I can change your mind about that very quickly laugh.gif

This idea is an extreme and probably a last resort. But we used to cruise down to Cleveland Point. Cops used to come down, but they were cool as. I mean, they actually talked about our cars, had some jokes, it was really good. So if none of these other places work, maybe we should give Cleveland Pt a go.

Yeah the area of bunnings Mt Grav and the mansfield pub attracts alot of cops because of the industrial estate and the paddock out the back of COC. Mansfield pub can also get pretty busy before 10 etc too with all the people eating out, and bunnings is open till 9 (i work there!)

Police ALWAYS hang around the pub tho, when i took my car for many a testdrive whilst rebuilding the engine (unreged), i drove waaaay clear of that area after i pooped my pants seeing a cop parked at the side of the road. (i live up the roadfrom the mansfield)

OK heres the go this thursday night.

Well all meet at the Cannon Hill Maccas C/P cause thats the way people seem to be heading, meet there at 8:30 - 9. From there we'll cruise to the Carindale C/P at 9 give or take depending on how many show up at the macca’s. From there leave and go to Mt Gravatt look out (suggestion haven’t been there in a while), from there go to Milton maccas. It only a suggestion. Also could someone please help arrange the cruise/ some meeting places. Any help or suggestions can you PM me thanks.

Laterz

Hope to see ya’s there.
Also i am willing to write letters requesting use of C/P's on private property for cruises. PM me the place and the owners name and ill write to them on your behalf.

Totally agree with you there scotty, cleveland pt is a very decent meeting spot to chill and hang out. Theres a pub just near it too so the noise is never really a problem.

You for real?
Fark, thats where I've performed damn near ALL of my acts of stupidity (read: Shenanigans™) in the past 5 years.

The paddock out back of COC isnt there anymore btw, its a housing estate. Ah the memories of my parents 4x4 van sideways in the dirt, lifting up on 2 wheels as it slid along at ~80k/hour *sigh* And my mini, which could drive far enough up the embankment to get around the barricaded entrance. And my mates <insert about 5 different cars here> insane driving ability as he navigated trees and embankments at stupid speeds with the handbrake constantly being yanked.

Anyway. I'm all mature now. So none of that happens. At least, not there now that you've warned me about it tongue.gif
