I know there have been many topics about new cruise locations and shit. but i have found a spot that is outter the way of the poilce, is a private property, and has only one speed bump (its not even a spped bump).

The place that im taking about is the Pub / Bottle shop car park along Weckers Road at Mansfield. Below are a list of advantages, and disadvantages.

Pros
Its well lit
Heaps of Car parks
Near a bottle O, and a pub that has a resturant.
Only one speed bump
Its in an area where not many cops patrol
There are two exits
Its close for all southsiders, and can be accessed from many areas. (short drive from Mt gravatt hill
There isnt many people there on thursday night.

Cons
You would prob have to give some businesses there for use of their car park, its only fair, i mean if you had a carpark and everyone was just using it without giving some business you would be a little pissed off.

Could you please give some pros and cons of this place. I dont need any dickheads givin shit to me bout posting this im only giving a suggestion (though there is always one in the group).

Thanks

PS if cops are reading this i dont care, but dont you have better things to do than to surf the net, i mean we dont pay you to sit around and surf the net. angry.gif

on the corner of old cleveland rd and creek road (Carindale shopping centre)theres a massive old carpark under the over pass that goes from cdale and joins to either meadowlands rd or back to old cleveland. Its a huge carpark and i dont think many ppl would mind. Though theres only 1 way i i think and not sure how the cops would react..but the carpark is about as big as a soccor field.

yeh but that could be hell for some of the lowered cars.. otherwise a wicked spot.. its pretty big but not really lit up.. is the only entrance to that thing from creek rd? or is there one down the bottom?

its from creed rd, about 10m after the main intersection....

Also, alot of ppl are also starting to meet up at Canon Hill Mcdonalds, the car park is decent and half the area is an industrial estate

So whats the go should we arrange for a southsiders cruise to have a look at these places, cause we need to start getting some order into cruise locations instead of everyone splitting up and doiung their own thing. Sinnie i think i have seen that car park its would be alright for a cruise location, just wondering if it privately owned or if it is owned by coucil.

Secondly Mt Gravatt hill was that a joke. wacko.gif wink.gif

nah there are two entry's one from each side of carindale really. One from the main intersection and one coming down the hill behind the little block of shops. Where i go to tune my stezza... seeing as it's just down the road... it's massive too!!!

Yeah Manfield Tavern is a good idea. But maybe a little bit too close to houses. The large carpark near Carindale sounds better.....and Metropol, not worth it. We had a cruise there once and there is shit all carparks cuz every random mofo is still there getting dinner and shit, and the cops were there within 15 mins of us being there!!!!!

yeh metropol is pointless.. someone ends up calling the cops.. isn.t there a pretty big car park at the meadowlands park? the one on meadowlands rd.. belmont way?

Yeah there is but there is crap all lighting down there and quite a few cops around as well.

the Cannon Hill maccas carpark is a good one and yeah also has that industrial estate there that we could use to PARK cars along....The carpark is owned by maccas and i dare say we'll end up havin the same sorta dramas we do at Capalaba maccas with security/police asking us to move on if we are hangin out there...although that also depends if i know the McManager or not wink.gif hehehe

Why not met on a long strech of road? cars can park either side of the road. Cops can really one come one way

i'd just like to say that the carindale carpark is NOT a good idea.

i used to be down there since being on my learners, and myself and a few good mates have been questioned by police and security for our actions down there (there's been heaps of skids left there beforehand).

it's also private property and you can be removed from the facility.

Cannon Hill is a good area - nice and large, maybe bunnings at cannon hill....

Yeah bunnings at cannon hill is a great idea! Lighting is pretty good and pleanty of room.

Problem is that the exists and entry are massive rises, so anyone with a low car good luck. (i have to go in on angle and i still scrape front with stock commodore ute).

The cannon hill mcdonals is the cruisingbrisbane.com 'hang out spot'... We had one of our members have a formal meeting with the manager of the mcdonalds and they allowed us to use their car park on a thursday night....

Every week we have had coppers turn up and try to tell us to leave, but the loook on their face when they realise that we are allowed to be there is quite funny.

The maccas car park isnt terribly large, and is filled up with about 20 or so cars... Id imagine that most of you will need to park it up on the rd towards the industrial estate...
