The FJ20ET came in the DR30 Skyline, S12 SILVIA and a couple of others that are too rare to be worth a mention. |

im not going to argue with physics.... cast iron is stronger than aluminium alloy.... |

Therefor you would be better off with an SR or FJ, even considering the extra weight. ![]() |

correction 100kg is 1 tenth of a second so 30kg is .03seconds slower ![]() |

Umm. Why? Whats your argument? ![]() |

wellll it all depends on which bracket ur goin in to get a 3tenths sec diff in a 14sec car is easy! to get 3 tenths diff in a 10sec car, is hard, lol so u cant really say exactly how much weight effects things as the curve is Exponential! |

At this point we have 12 votes for the FJ20ET, 3 votes for the SR20DET and 3 votes for the CA18DET. So that makes the FJ20ET the champ |

Good to hear. The ca imo is lacking too much torque and size to make it a choice for a serious buildup. I don't understand why people go on about the iron vs alloy block, i don't know when the last time i heard of someone cracking their block was unless its making some pretty serious power. I haven't heard of any stock ca internals lasting past 210rwkw (i guess not a lot of people try either) but heaps of people have made 270rwkw+ with stock sr internals, no block troubles. |
