I don't see what engine configuration has got to do with anything, If a car performs, I give it credit wink.gif .

I have to agree with this, but when V8 drivers hate imports, this setup is kinda bizzare!

Hi all,

My name is John Pesch and im the owner of this car u all seem to be unable to come to agreance on. Basically i did it to be original, Its an Infinity V8 (VH45DE), all alloy quad cam, variable cam timing a very hi tech engine in general. We finished the car on monday though there are still some little things that need to be fixed there hasnt been a hickup yet. Its still auto at the moment which is better for bracket racing anyway so my mechanic assures me. And yes it did start of life as a rather stock non turbo, though it ended up running a 14.08 with some mods and some happy gas without a turbo. After that i wanted to be able to run those times or better without the gas so began the conversion. Just ask for ne more info.

Cheers

John

NA R33- You are using the Vh45 auto, yes? Are you planning to go manual, and if so, what box do you hope to use?

Congrats to you.

Yes its the Vh45 auto box, but i am extremly impressed with it, originally i was gonna change it to auto as soon as i had the money cause im now broke ill see what sort of times it gets down the quarter but ill probably just leave it auto for a while, the car used to be manual so its a nice change i suppose..

Edit: Sorry, if i was to go manual ive been told the 300zx box bolts up to the engine but im unsure of how true this is.

One of the most awesome conversions I can think of, those engines are quite strong.

But yeah, apparently theres another r33 rocking round with a 385 or something stupid in it, not sure on how true it is, but I was talking to the guy who did the conversion last nite...

Well done to you mate

I give you top credits for that.... I love it when something original like that happens... You get sick of seeing the same shit over and over again...

I like skylines... I like V8's... what a perfect match... Will go rather hard thats for sure

Did you need to do much work to the suspension to do so???

the v8 probably weighs the same as the six!!!! this is a very good idea i think, well done for being a standout...the only problem is the rego!!!! ai ai ai.....i hate paying rego for an 8 when some 4s use the same amout of fuel as me. its criminal!!!!

biased people are only jelous!!!!! i have a v8 and my escort will have a 4, so go figure..

id love to see a pic under the hood!!!!!
cheers thumbsup.gif
