Dad said that the car could be anthing from hq to wb and he also said that he thinks that the gearbox is either a powerglide and turbo400 automatics. I have also done a bit of research on the gearboxes and they make either of these to handle the power apparently.

It can't be any of the gearboxs that have been mentioned because they aren't allowed on the street so it has to be one of the above.

Talking to a person in the know lastnight it seems I may have been on the wrong path as to who is building this thing.

Would it maybe be one of the organisers of Powercruise (which would explain why a lot of the people that have said they know in this thread so far would know) wink.gif?

My money is on powercruise gup.

It's some form of HQ-Z-J-X and gup has a HQ at the moment so the comment "wont see the intercoolers so it will look just the same as my current car thats right it will be exactly the same as the car i am running 11's in now" would fit in, especially considering he has close to 400rwhp he should be running 11s.

I also have a bit of inside knowledge that Elvis may be using the same machining shops that Chris Holingsworth and Rob Bertolacci use.

Interesting post OXY351, I decided to make a few phone calls this arvo and the word is aparently Chris Hollingsworth is building a big cube V8 to suit a big turbo.... and guess who he is building it for biggrin.gif

Now where is OVL666 wink.gif?

WRONG someone mentioned a a guys name in the thread earlier and he had an old school tuff car that hasnt been seen for awhile.PLus powercruise gup car is still on the road, the car in the pics is a project car all new front end etc etc

And that Chris Hollingsworth is not building it? (the engine that is)

for that sort of power i'm guessing 2spd glide but as for car i'm thinking crt or hollingworth might have something to do with it
