For a car to hit a tree and three cars in the Surfers the drivier must have been driving like a dickhead! 'IF' this was the case, as harsh as this may sound, i hope you do not recieve any insurance. This is the reason we all pay such high insurance premiums people driving like utter morons |

I know the feeling. I let my brother drive my car & he thought it would be cool to do a a 8000rpm 4WD launch in front of his mates & destroyed the gearbox, CV's & rear diff in one hit. Never again does anyone drive my car, even when I'm in it. But we have to find out the hard way.... |

Chatting to my mate in the claims dept from a major insurer he says you can pretty much kiss goodbye to Insurance. Unlicensed driving is just as bad as drink driving (no payment of claim in any circumstances) in the eyes of most mainstream Insurance companies, they will use anything then can to reject a claim….. Unless the car was reported Stolen and the chick charged I don’t think you will have much luck at all. (As for not knowing if she had a licence or not – ignorance will get you nowhere.) If your thinking of putting in an fraudulent claim – ie saying you were infact driving they would still most likely deny your claim as the car was being driven dangerously (and you risk heavy jail terms and never ever being able to get any forms of insurance ever again). I just hope you (or she) did not do any damage to council or Govt property (street signs or poles etc….) these are very expensive to replace (well you have to pay a team of at leas 5 council workers to install a new street sign, someone has to lean on the shovels ![]() |
