Also, how is the motor being bolted to the chassis?

That plate in front of the engine, is that for mounting it?

That would put a hell of a lot of torque through the chassis! Is this for street use, or drag use only?

I reckon that would be CRTs old motor going into a green HJ ute wouldn't it? Possibly the one owned by a worker at village motors petrie and being fitted with the help of Paul Rooks from Northside Automotive? Close?

CRT's twin turbo big block chev was 427ci. And apparently its now in a Cortina in sydney. I wonder if this thing will be street registered. 540ci into a HQ...I don't think its allowed.

Ahhhh all makes sence now.... I also heard that a 540 cui motor that CRT had in one of their sheds isn't there anymore.

u lot are 4spazzos that is sitting in the fromt end of a hq or hz holden as vl's dont have full shassisand u can tell by the brake booster.

Everyone is poking around the HQ - HZ models...... i'll go out on a limb and say HG.
Dunno why i reckon it could be a HG, just the cowl (and you cant see much of it!) looks HGish. unsure.gif
Hard to tell with the front end though, the front end in the pic is common design for 70s Holdens.

You idiots look at what OVL666 has said. it ain't the green ute but it is obvisously from the HQ to HZ era of vehicles. I can't rule out the WB either as they have the same engine bay as well.

It isn't necessarily a monaro either. It could be a ute,van,wagon or a sedan. It would be tuff if in a wagon.

In the previous thread OVL666 sasid that the lunatic that owns this thing is going to let it loose on the street. That will be insane.

Grump2 if this thing can hook up i think it will kick your ass. But I am with you in thinking that it will be nothing but tyre smoke.

Ok well spoke to the owner today and he said its coming along slowly and he is trying to have her up and running by powercrusie but with parts coming from the states its time consuming.But he is trying he will have it on display there either way. thumbsup.gif
