Heheeh they are probably used to people losing their receipts. Nah I dont really care what discount there is a fuel.. good fuel is good fuel and if I have to pay an extra 4 cents *big whoop* to get the best fuel (BP!), then Im sure I dont mind putting myself out a little ![]() ![]() |

Well it has to be better quality fuel then the the 'Petrol Plus" Woolworths option. The Petrol Plus stores put out weekly contracts for the supply of fuel and the cheapest wins. I have been told this form a high up source in Woolworths. Apparently alot of the time the fuel sold at Petrol Plus is fuel that has been accidently mixed together at a servo and taken back to the refinery for seperation, hence the reason for the cheapness |

the BP in Macksville (near Coffs Harbour NSW) got done a few years ago for putting additives in their fuel to make it go further. Really messed up some cars in town, so i am still really wary of BP. Although it is always BP or Shell for the S15, i just put whatever in my Echo. |

i work at matilda servo... and in there area there is a mobil, bp, ampol and a woolies that we directly compete with... when the woolies was built it made fuck all difference to the amount of fuel that we sell at my servo.... the pricing at my servo has also changed... rather than having a set 6 cent/litre gap between premium and unleaded now the higher the price of fuel the closer the gap between the two... for example on friday.. the price of premium and unleaded was exactly the same.. but as the price of unleaded drops the price of premium will stay untill there is a 5c gap between them.. im quite sure that this is the go for all matilda servos now was well. |

hey guys it might be cheap fuel, now, but in 2 or 3 years when the greedy supermarket (bastards) have SCREWED most of the small servos out of business & they have almost total control of the fuel industry like they have the food industry,so they can rip even more of ur weekly pay packet, the prices will then SKYROCKET & the quality will be sh## just like theyve done to the food industry, just like banks THEY ARE OUT OF CONTROL & the govt is powerless to do anything, & say what u like but thats the reality |

Great, so now we can expect shell to run out of optimax more often now that they will have extra customers, what a bonus. |

Correct me if Im wrong here, but I think you have incorrect Information about this Coles Shell Deal. Coles has purchased the leases for all the company owned Shell Service Stations, rebranded them as Coles Express and is running them under a name called Eureka Operations P/L, which is a Coles Myer Company. I dont think it had anything to do with them being able to "afford" to set up service stations, Id say they couldnt catch up fast enough, as Woolworths already had 280 of its own Plus Petrol outlets before Coles had a single one operating. It is not a joint venture. Coles has purchased the Service Stations, and is being supplied by Shell Australia with petrol products. |

Once again I think you have incorrect information. The fuel is no cheaper than anywhere else. Sure there may be a cent or two difference, but if you dont have a docket, you pay FULL PUMP PRICE. Why make accusations such as the fuel being watered down? If youre going to do such, and you expect us to beleive you, then lay your cards on the table, and name your source. I have long been a beleiver that if its discounted, then people become suspicious. The reality is , it isnt discounted unless you spend 30 bucks in a supermarket. Do you really think Woolworths could sell 50 Million litres a week of dodgy " mixed then taken back for seperation" fuel to the Australian Public? Please , lets be realistic here? Please name your sources, show us some lab results from your freinds cars going wacko....fuel tests, whatever....? |

coles down here (victoria) has taken over coles for about a year now.. and its great.. still have the shell optimax.. etc... and yeah it has given safeway(woolworhts) ome competition with thier price reductions with dockets.... but nah theres nothing wrong with it.. |

Thats incorrect. Woolworths is involved in a joint venture with Caltex. Caltex still runs their own sites, with their own staff, and using Caltex fuel, they just honour Woolworths dockets. Caltex still owns all the "Calstores". Woolworths is not taking them over, it is merely a co-branded fuel offer. |
