i'd have to agree with this comment. how is 100kw from a 2L that special?? maybe in turbo form an SR20 is an awesome motor but n/a 100kw compared to 176kW from an S2000, i know what gets my vote ![]() |

BMW S14 for sure. final incarnation of 2.5L and 238hp. Similar power figures as the S2000, mountains more torque though, it's usible, you have to really rev the S2000 to keep it on song.
I thought it was the production 2L. Not the highest 4 cylinder ever. I could say the M12 engine, with 400 odd hp from a 2L (you could buy it as a production engine in the 80's), but thats a purpose built engine for racing. |

v-techs are defintly one of the most technically advanced motors available. the s2000 f20c pumos out the most kw per litre then any other n/a motor in the world. but my favourite would have to be the h22a(prelude motor) because of its potential to be tuned in n/a form but pricey$$$$$$$$$ |

The only thing going for the S2000 engine is how well the cylinder head flows at high valve lift. When you start comparing flow charts on inlet and exhaust ports, at higher lift, thats when the engine starts to shine. |
