Is that an NA tho?

(yeah yeah reasonable blah)

sure is. they came out in atmo mostly, then there was a turbo version..

silver RZ, what torque does an sr20e put out then?

Ahh okay cool! Yeah wasnt too sure about that, had a slight feeling it may have been turbo'd

a sr20DE????? 100kw from a twin cam 2L motor aint so good, when you have a B16A making 118Kw from a 1.6 lighter more responsive motor wink.gif

my list, B16A2 purely cause theyre light and were the first 4cy to make 100Hp per liter of displacment.

then if you can find one the B16B from the EK type R civic, 205-210Hp from a 1.6 now thats gota be good.

also gota love the F20C 'raptor' motor from the S2000, with the highest Kw out put for a NA 4cyl ever, cant go past that.

i'd have to agree with this comment. how is 100kw from a 2L that special?? maybe in turbo form an SR20 is an awesome motor but n/a 100kw compared to 176kW from an S2000, i know what gets my vote smile.gif

BMW S14 for sure. final incarnation of 2.5L and 238hp. Similar power figures as the S2000, mountains more torque though, it's usible, you have to really rev the S2000 to keep it on song.

I thought it was the production 2L. Not the highest 4 cylinder ever.

I could say the M12 engine, with 400 odd hp from a 2L (you could buy it as a production engine in the 80's), but thats a purpose built engine for racing.

For a N/A engine it would have to be the 2.0litre s2000 vtec engine.

I beg to differ boosting, VTEC boosted is insanely powerful biggrin.gif

MOTORS
Post #77

v-techs are defintly one of the most technically advanced motors available. the s2000 f20c pumos out the most kw per litre then any other n/a motor in the world. but my favourite would have to be the h22a(prelude motor) because of its potential to be tuned in n/a form but pricey$$$$$$$$$

the 2.0 Litre Engine out of a Renault Clio Sport.

Redlines at 8.5rpm has 124kw and 200nm of torque, 0-100 in 6.3 stock. (car weights like 804kg.)

The Clio Sport 2L engine is great. It has 124kW @ 6250rpm, 200Nm @ 5400rpm, 0 - 100 in 7.3 seconds and its kerb mass is 1035kg. tongue.gif

If it was 804kg, man it would be insane!

I am another one for the Honda S2K motor.

The only thing going for the S2000 engine is how well the cylinder head flows at high valve lift. When you start comparing flow charts on inlet and exhaust ports, at higher lift, thats when the engine starts to shine.

I'd have to say the 3SGE, baby brother to the infamous 3SGTE, loves to rev, more torque and power than 4AGE... it's a Toyota...

What more can I say?

*** My favourite would be the beams 3SGE mounted with a 6sp... ooooh niceee biggrin.gif
