for the 968 it's 369 ft/lb torque in the turbo version so can't imagine the NA is mindblowing

If it has to be non turbo id have to go with the good old datsun L20B ok before i get flamed yes they are slow stock but once you drop in nissan navra 2.4l crank and pistons everyhting changes set of 48mm webbers huge cam this setup is good for 200hp atw on 98octane fuel ( i know this from experience).

a good combo would be the b20 block & b16 head for a fwd... the k24 from the new generation is actually quite a good engine as well, has potential biggrin.gif ... as for rwd, nothing comes close to the f20 pumpin out 170kw at the fly for a stock engine....

I think the new 2ZZ-GE 1.8l out of the new corolla sportivo would be pretty bloody good! pumps out 141kw standard and is also a 6 speed biggrin.gif DOHC of course

yeh id have to say Vtec motor, but the 3sge (non turbo mr2 motor) is 180hp stock smile.gif its one of hte most powerful NA motors to date.

standard prello vtir engine has 143kw standard and 240-ish nm of torque (not sure on the exact figures for torque though)

reportedly does 0-100 0.1 of a second slower than a standard s14 (using new cars of say 97-98 model)

but then again, how many standard s14's are there out and about laugh.gif

but yeah - that's my favourite 4banger smile.gif having said that, i'd rather a big donk anyday!

a sr20DE????? 100kw from a twin cam 2L motor aint so good, when you have a B16A making 118Kw from a 1.6 lighter more responsive motor wink.gif

my list, B16A2 purely cause theyre light and were the first 4cy to make 100Hp per liter of displacment.

then if you can find one the B16B from the EK type R civic, 205-210Hp from a 1.6 now thats gota be good.

also gota love the F20C 'raptor' motor from the S2000, with the highest Kw out put for a NA 4cyl ever, cant go past that.
