i got told bilsteins match up with king springs well, but i guess there are plenty of manufacturers

anything is better than stock ones. Tell a suspension joint how much the car is lowered and they should have a shockie package to suit

I recommend a guy to ring in Melbourne for Bilsteins. He has excellent prices and is well known in the suspension industry, especially racing cars and has worked with Bilsteins for 30yrs. He has packages with different prices, but really knows Bilsteins inside and out. Probably the cheapest guy in Aus for Bilsteins.

oh, i thought this was for your 180sx. i wouldn't really bother with expensive new shocks for a civic, just the standard ones with the king springs. that's all i've got for my 180 and it's fine.

but the thing is i have it lowered 30mm and with a full car load it rubs the tyres and i don't want it to ! not at 180 a tyre !

and it's a sedan by the way not a hatch so people can fit in the back !

come off it, 180s are awesome ppl carriers.

i'm not sure if a/m shocks will make a difference to the rubbing, i think its just because the springs are too low, maybe not stiff enough, and your friends are too fat tongue.gif

Kings springs make a 30% harder spring over the standard lowwerd springs they make also, so why don't you try that one instead?

hmm ur best bet is to ring around and yeah ask suspension places mate. But im pretty sure harder shocks will not stop it rubbing, maybe minimise rubbing

penske, ohlins, sachs. um but i suppose you dont have $5k to spend on a damper per corner smile.gif

dampers wont do shit to effect your ride height. they only effect transient ride height, ie pitching, rolling, and unless they are VERY stiff, they wont reduce the maximum travel seen by the wheel. they will however reduce the rate of travel, so over dips in the road, it might stop the tyre travel, and minimise the rubbing.

Go for Koni Yellows or KYB AGX's. Your really wastying your money on anything less than those two.

Civic guy, you need to buy higher springs. Only then you can worry about dampers.
You made a poor spring choice, you got to fix that first.
