i'd rather spend money on making the car look nice
coz u can spend thousands making ur car the fastest around but there isnt many places to go where u can open it up
but on the other hand cant have a nice lookin car with a shity engine

so i say BOTH

Depends who you ask to what they prefer..Im more one for show but still have the power to perform to the looks...Like matt said u do need ball inside the nice car..But their are guys out there they do up their cars and thinks an air filter brings HUGE power dry.gif

I reckon for public road usage, 'go' is somewhat irrelevant in the practical sense. For amateur/pro etc track usage, 'go' is very important among other performance attributes of the car. So it depends on the situation. If you're a car fan that wants to have really good pickup on the public road for sensible driving, then that's cool. If you want really good pickup for law unabiding activities, then that's not so cool.

neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed both - end of discussion. laugh.gif

not much to do with a weapon of a car on the roads these days to - dam hoon squad

tight looks and a car that will run mid 13's gets thumbsup.gif in my books - as much go as you need for street and if you got the look then you got it right!

I find when i'm suffering from Impotence, the 'Go' side of things dosent always work according to plan.

That's what you meant when you said 'Inportent', right?

Clean & simple looking. Must have some balls! If you cant go, then whats the points?

80% go 20% show for me. love the speed, but its got to be a good looking cruiser as well.

Make it go - then make it look nice in my opinion. You can only waste so many cars b4 people start sayin it its a piece of crap with a good engine.

On the flip side - if u make your ride look good - but then cant back it up on the blacktop - u get no respect.

It's an attitude problem basically. Because seriously, almost anybody that's in a ok working class can put money into a car to make it perform really well all around. Some folks are just lucky that they weren't born in a third world country/family (or a really poor family). If that were the case, how a ride looks or goes becomes irrelevant.

Show Priority!!!! gotta look good to pick up the chicks, and about the go...well most chicks dont know anything about that part so yea. (no offence females - all boost chicks do! biggrin.gif )

show gets the girls, go gets the adrenaline

i say 75% go, 25% show (gotta have decent tunes!)

go
cause most of th show cars are imports(nothing wrong with them)
but people go over the top with bodykits and all that jazz
so a goodlooking fast car

true but theres no law about how quick u get to 110

0-100 time interest me more than top end speed for this reason

I was gonna make a poll like this but i thought 'whats the point cause everyones gonna say both. But now its been done im gonna say show. If i had the go, the thought of a copper with a radar will always be in my mind. Let alone the danger of driving crazy.

All show and no go sucks and vice versa....
I think there is probably more of a chance for people to get away with more show then anything..
preferably i like the go wink.gif
if that all makes sense wacko.gif

i would prefer go definately but i still like it to look good but not all riced up. i also like the interior to be sweet cause thats where u spend most of the time

yea there is -- its called street racing!

is it tru there is a rule that says u cant race your car to 60km etc? was talking to a cop once and he said it was called time trialling or something, and you can be booked for it. part of racing or something i dont know????

Im all for performance, the car scene has changed so much in the past 2 years. Few years ago it was all about performance, now its just about pimping, big rims and fancy paintjobs.

depends on how much show.. i dont consider a lancer riced up show. i picked go. either "fuck that looks sweet" or "fuck thats quick" non of this "pfft another riced up *insert car here*"

I'm for GO. But having said that, I'd rather not have an old stock looking VB Commodore complete with rust - even if it had a supercharged v8 nitrous burning engine in it.

In fact this Skyline R32 sums up my thoughts:

Under bonnet

Mentality would be different if folks were just making enough money to eat. But the important question is .. what's the show and go actually for? Is it part of the plan to eventually become a professional racing driver to make a living? Or for amateur/pro track activities? Or is it for pure car love and enthusiasm only? Or is it really for status and showing off? smile.gif For the first 2 conditions....go is important. For the 3rd condition, both show and go is great. For the 4th ... no respect to that.

something like that.

i think you can done for excessive speeding or something which is like speeding up really quickly, say for a launch in a street race etc.

not really street racing. if theres no one else around and you get caught who did u race? i dont think thatll work...

but i think u can get done for something like that.

back on topic:

70% go 30% show. although i want the car mainly for power u cant go past something that looks nice thumbsup.gif

even if you aren't racing another car to the speed limit, there is a law about excessive acceleration or some crap

has to be show you weird people

this is why there are so many quick shitboxes. Id rather a non turbo supra then a fast datto

go

my opinion is that the car must look nice first, cause on the public roads there's no point in having heaps of ponies under the bonnet if you can't use them.
however if you're a regular at track events than obviously power is more of an issue.

bita both is nice, bodykits relaly dont do it for me tho. long as its neat and goes hard , sleepas r good tho

Go is the first choice.

doing/adding something to the car that makes it "go" and looks good wins hands down.

The ppl who are in just for the looks are fake, they know they are.

They would probably look better at fashion shows n shit. Drink.gif

have you noticed that it's the people who know little about performance that do these things?, these mainly being kids...

I've discovered the northern states to be years behind the south, this is so true.

these kind of comments are just BS, the stuff I'm hearing up here I heard years ago down south.
