Post #1 post 16th October 2003 - 05:31 AM
well although the whether was not so great i would like to thank all that turned out for a great night of chatting and meeting new people...

One bad note, to the person who did that huge burnout in Carindale in that Commodore its because of you we got kicked out and im not happy, i hope MRE or someone got your numberplates that was just stupid... was a great night althought most venues had no shelter or we got kicked out of where we ended up was awesome the police were great and everyone was relaxed and having a good time...

nice to meet a lot of new faces and i hope some of you put my face to my name, hope to see you all in the near future

love you all long time lol
Greg thumbsup.gif

P.S - i obviously lost the water fight and everyone was a witness, so dammit lol sad.gif
P.P.S - had our CB on for 1sec untill it got annoying and turned it off and through it on the boot, its just getting ridiculous the chatter on there sometimes

I had an ok night - we did some tuff laps in ITS 08 in the city for a while but I couldn't see the lanes as I didn't have my glasses on sad.gif so i had to let phat-dave behind the wheel... a v8 virgin.. in the wet... lol smile.gif

nah it was all good.

I notice you didn't get up the car you were riding in Greg for doing skids while leaving mt gravatt though, double standards there eh mate??

man you know my thoughts... Didnt like the departure from mt G one bit.

_J_e_n_ i thought i saw your car with you not driving, and dont worry i had a mention to the driver in question of what you referred too, and he acknowlegded it was stupid but was a little quirt in the rain, this full on tossa at Carindale where parked cars were all around did a full on line locky and MRE's car was right beside smoke went everywhere... was wreckless and stupid.

i saw all sorts of V8's, Turbos and N/A cars getting some wheelspin during the night its bound to happen, but that tossa from carindale secruit was there within 3.2 seconds angry.gif

And the supersoakers were good fun althought i got drenched at Carindale and the Metropole i had a great night and met a lot more new faces...

I got to Mt Gravatt too late and everyone had left, then got to roma st and no one was there, then went to west end and it was empty, so went back to roma st...... I saw 00SXC and it was the only car I recognised from boost as I haven't met anyone off here yet and just remembered those plates.....saw some chicks get into a punch up, then I left and just got home..........all together an uneventful night, plus I was riding with a mate of a mate who I'd never been in the car with before and didn't like his driving one bit, he thought he was mario andrette (sp?) in his stocko VL sad.gif

I gave him a lecture about driving like that once we got up around you guys and told him that everyone will have a go at him if he does that, luckily we bumped into another mate of mine up at roma st and I swapped cars and disowned (read lost) burnout boy in his commodore hehe

anyways I walked up to a few people and asked them if they were from the boost cruise and mostly just got laughed at and got answers like "haha me? on an internet cruise? haha yeah right" blink.gif

oh well maybe next time, would like to put faces to the stuff I read on her at some stage

very average cause of the rain

datto1200coupe
Post #9

hey Amokk were you on the cruise? and i must admit some parts of the cruise were bellow standard because of the rain, but you had to admit it was good considering... althought not one city lap was had, it was, straight to Roma, stop and straight to milton get hammered by police for not buying food then straight to somewhere else, get kicked out for someone doing a burnout and finally a place to stop and chill and it had shelter not that we needed it, good times were had i thought

Fair enough Greg but its still shit like that that gives car enthusiasts and boostcruising a bad name.

Anyway, I had a good night.

Amokk
Post #12

yeah i was there...

i couldnt understand why u all went to roma street cause it was raining.. but it sucked that the cops were at milton.. but carindale was a good idea... but i knew u would not even last 5 seconds there ... even if that dude didn't do a skid.. cause the secruity is always like that there

OVL666
Post #13

SOUNDED like a good night to stay home but then again u dont have to be a rocket scientist to realise the rain was going to fu(k it.Lets hope the rain stays away for street torque

Amokk
Post #14

if people are going to bitch about it or stuff.. just don't come on the cruise simple

datto1200coupe
Post #15

me loosing Supersoaker challange and the rain still spitting and wind picking up was enough for me to say im out of there, plus it was a 2min drive and i was home haha, so yer nice early one for a change, but was a good cruise still need a big undercover car park for backup if it rains again, i think Carindale has banned us for life but thats how the cookie crumbles..

Amokk
Post #16

yeah it was good to end up close to my area aswell
hehe

yeah cruising when it rains is always hard cause no shopping centre's want u around

datto1200coupe
Post #17

hey J_e_n its not just boostcruisers there was some tossa in a tarago doing wheelies in the wet driving by and a magna and old charade through the lights at Mt Gravatt, everyone was loosing traction in the wet tonight, but with cars with a lot of horsepower the odd squirt is bound to happen...

but if anyone has any locations they have found with a nice big undercover carparking facilities for future reference if it rains that would be greatly appreciated... j_E_n ur car is looking nice by the way thumbsup.gif

Amokk
Post #18

anyway it was a good night for what its worth.. see what ya can do next time when it is dry

_J_e_n_
Post #19

lol i know there was a lot of people being a bit silly out and about tonight; i was referring to when everyone left mt gravatt and got up to shenanagins.

in future i don't think i'll bring my fulli sik commo out in the rain sad.gif but next thurs night watch out for me and jax pimpin... i'll have d00f then biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Was a good turnout though, normally rainy nights are really dead. So nice work to those who contributed to the organisation of it.

I owe everyone a H U G E appology, especially lil 180 and her friend. Next time I'll be very careful as to whom I let dribble on a two-way. My ears are still ringing and will most likely for the next week blink.gif

Was a good night by all accounts and measures, and good to finally put some faces to the computer names smile.gif . Hope you had a good night Greg!

Lil 180 and your friend thanks for letting me follow you out of the city, much apreciated, although I wouldn't have blamed you if you had of just taken off. Think my next investment will be satelite navagation.

P.S. the next time I hear someone having a go at Boost members for speeding etc I will do a gasket. On the way up from BP Coomera we were constantly over taken by cars that had families in them at at least 20km/hr over the speed limit. Not once did a Gold Coast boost member go over the speed limit on the way up. Think the constabulary need to get in touch with reallity in Q.L.D. angry.gif

laugh.gif . Mate back then I was race weight of 70kg and at 16 could do the 400m in 47.23sec. Now mate I'm 105kg and I'd be flat out doing the lap in 1min:47.23sec laugh.gif Although these gold medals from the Q.L.D. Athletic Association hanging in front of me are spuring me on a bit. I think I might have to pull the old spikes out. If you need a training partner count me in. We can both have a heart attack together thumbsup.gif

P.S. I think my car is looking the best option for anything 400m at the moment, it doesn't have a beefy rear end like it's owner biggrin.gif

laugh.gif ok mate well how much did u train before u got all those medals??? lol i had like 2 trainin seshs b4 nats and i still made it, even tho i didnt race cause i busted ankle but yeah well i get back into some trainin ill give u a call biggrin.gif i recon one sunday arvo we should get a few mates to block of tha espo and we can mark out a 400 straight track and ill give u a run mate, even tho runnin away from craig and brench tonight took it outta me dry.gif and iam ment to be a runna geez sad.gif

p.s. high 47s wit no trainin aint a bad effort i recon biggrin.gif but 47.23 is a great run back in 1956 tongue.gif biggrin.gif jokin mate laugh.gif

We went out to cleveland point about 12.30/1.00, I guess you were all home in bed-e-byes by then hehe.

We should put up a noticeboard at each meeting place so whenever a cruise passes through, they can leave a note saying where they're off to and what time.. that way people can catch up. A bit of a stupid idea, but it just fell out of the top of my head.

PS That security guard at Carindale is a complete tosser. He followed me round when I went to pick my sister up from work a few times and never turns that stupid flashy light off. Though burnouts should not have been done in the carpark.

Yeah I was in Tim_Ribs' car and it seemed like it was all over when we came out at about 11:30pm, we found a couple of people up mt gravatt mountain but they all went home very quickly. Does everybody always go home really early?? or do the people that stay out go somewhere we don't know about? dry.gif

Job or no job, what am I doing still up at 10 to 6? Surely I must have assignments I should be doing/avoiding...

man no one is getting my point, i understand that my ride, and skylines, 4x4, supras, soarers, a pht323 and any V8 was getting wheelspin in the wet im not saying we didnt, im saying for someome to do a burnout in a underground carpark inbetween cars was ridiculous and inappropriate...

thanks to all who came was an awesome night...

Jason(10DED) your a top bloke nice to meet you and everyone else was in a great mood despite the whether
