Ok guys I want to put a 1uzfe into a 1994 hilux I'm wanting some information from people who have done the same thing or something similar
Is there a conversion kit out there?
Is it easier and cheaper to manualise the auto box from the toyota soarer or I know you can buy t56 adapter plates to fit
What sensors and electrics can I not plug back in?
Where can I buy a rebuild kit for the 1uz and how much am I looking at paying for that?

I have no clue about any conversions, but whether that is a 4x2 or a 4wd thag will go so bloody hars. And i wish you luck,

My cousin could probably help you with your questions. He's got a toyota surf he dropped a 1uzfe in. It loves breaking diffs haha.

I'm looking into something similar, want to eventually put a 1uz into a '97 Hilux. I've been sourcing bits and pieces of info.

I've been told it's easier to slip the motor and auto gearbox straight in rather than trying to fit it to a manual gearbox. If you wanted to go for manual I've heard the R151 is the way to go. You'd probably have to upgrade your brakes too.

There are a handful of topics on 4wdaction about the conversion, have a look at Boof's Hilux.

From the point of view of someone that currently owns a 1uzfe surf, buy a hilux or surf with it already done and save big dollars..... Thinking of selling mine lol....

I reckon an Explorer diff would fit and I've yet to hear of anyone breaking one even with a V8.
You could probably buy a whole Explorer for the price of a good diff.

With a bellhousing, TC and input shaft swap you can use the standard hilux auto with the 1uz
