Why did the get a Pt to evaluate him and give him a program when he joined? Better yet, drag his ass along with you and get the lazy kunt motivated,! he has a pt appointment on Monday. I just don't see any reason that he can't at least sit on a machine and familiarise himself with their operation in the meanwhile. I wanted him to join my gym.......the story goes, he goes out - without telling me, apparently he was going to 'inspect' 3-4 gyms, then make a decision on what one to join - he goes to ONE (Goodlife), joins that gym - personally I think they did a real number on him, suckered him in, dazzled him saying all the 'right' things, and took a whole wad of cash of him. he's carrying on telling me how he got an extra two months membership, yeah congratulations - you just paid for an 18 month membership - when you've already shown in the past that you're not able to maintain going regularly........and that he'll get Veterans Affairs to pay for pt sessions - because he's been told by their pt staff that they will - despite his not having cleared that with DVA first....... you know what they say, a fool and his money are soon parted...... the gyms 10km away - to far for me - on account that I like to do my interval training by running to and from my gym of an evening - plus it's not 24hr which i'm after.....mind you, there's 6 different gyms that are closer than this one that he's joined. |

well we'll see how much of that money is wasted by him not going. makes you kind of wonder why he would want to join a different gym and not go to train with his brother. probably best that he not come to train with me, I don't much like his attitude / lack of goal setting towards his fitness. I feel that I've had to lead him by the nose for the whole time / over it. |

I go to anytime fitness. I investigated joining them 7-8 months ago, unfortunately their reply to my email was a bit lacking / didn't answer the question I asked about when their new Lawnton franchise was opening. Plus I didn't have facebook at that time, which would have given me the opportunity to join for free. Ended up joining Snap Fitness, which is far superior to the local Jetts gym, that I had been going to. the new Anytime Fitness franchise is open now, I should go in for a look, though I can't see myself changing gyms now. I'm happy with where i'm currently going. |

It varies so much between franchises though. The one 2 mins down the road at Springfield Lakes here is small, too much equipment, too many people and the bloke that runs it is a douche. |

First 10laps of the gp was brilliant, Jlo was really aggressive and kept taking back 1st position off Pedro coz he had to win and hope marquez would finish out of the top 4 or make a mistake, marquez rode smart and just sat back in 3rd and watched them fight it out. After that it was quite boring.. |

As a former PT, very few people require or will benefit from supps. Are you eating normally? At least 2 serves of protein a day? You have no need for protein supps. Unless you have a metabolism so fast that you are permanently thin as a rail. |

Unless you have a metabolism so fast thatyou are permanently thin as a rail. as a former fatty, I still have quite some work to do in tightening up the abdominal area. I've only been doing core work / targeting the abs for the last six months. I was working other areas, in strengthening / rehabilitating a lower back injury, so any movement requiring bending / twisting was avoided initially. I gradually introduced core work as a became stronger / more confident in my fitness and abilities. there's still a few things I avoid, like deadlifts / ab crunch machine, although i'm looking at beginning some light lifts in the not to distant future. probably not having enough protein. I eat 3 weetbix after my first workout in the morning, fruit throughout the day - commonly banana, strawberries, grapes, occasional yoghurt or other fruit, then a small main meal at 6pm, followed by an evening workout. not having anything - or trying not to eat anything - in the evenings. i'm not really sold on the whole concept of taking supplements, I see other people regularly taking them - they all tend to be puffy armed and not as defined / lean as i'd like to be (and am becoming), even if their arms etc are bigger. |
