And yes fcuk dodo, I never had problems but their speed was shut house, adsl2+ and best I got was 1.5 mbps, switched to bigpond and I'm up to 7-8

This was my main issue, had the so called ADSL2 and it was no quicker then my old connection of adsl

ffs, i can only get adsl here since we are approx 6km from the dslam. how fcuking piss poor is that? such a populated and busy area, can only get adsl. might as well get dial up...

You would be better off with a usb modem or pocket wifi

At the moment all i have is a prepaid USB Modem through Telstra... Does the job

our exchange has telstra adsl2, but the other companies haven't upgraded the equipment from adsl1.

we managed to get tpg offnet, which is adsl2, unlimited download, for $80 a month, which i know is high, but we've never had a problem with it / them, so are reluctant to change.

phone's another $30 - telstra - or so on top of that, not that we use it much.

When in brissy i was with TPG and can't recommend them enough.Pissed when I moved to this shit hole and found out they didn't service the area.I go from Unlimited ADSL2 and Unlimited home phone with 100mins of international calls for $70 a month to 500gb of ADSL1 with unlimited calls to land lines but nothing else for $145 month.Fcuk telstra and their price gouging.

ive heard from a few people that with TPG they send out letters if you are downloading movies..

They don't send out letter they just email you.

Yeah it just says your IP has been reported downloading xxxxx.

They never do anything about it, they are just required to forward it on to you. We have had a few years ago, don't even check the TPG email address anymore though. Probably got a few more in there.

we've never had this issue with them, but most of what we 'find' is from a private site.
