So over shitty internet. Im over this pos laptop. fcuking heap wont even connect to wireless. So pissed. The shit quality of the lines between the exchange and your house has NOTHING to do with your laptop not connecting to the modem/router... Even if the internet drops out entirely, you will still be connected to the modem. |

But still having difficulties with drop outs and such. Called TPG they have done tests, there IS a problem with the lines, that Telstra is fully aware of as the entire goddamn street has had issues and was diagnosed as a problem close to 12months ago and which still has not been rectified as they see it as a waste of time because our area is due for NBN some time in 2014 supposedly. |

Might have to disagree with you there Twat,we have the same shitty problem with the lines as Bam,but I can be online on the desktop, and the wife will fire up her laptop, and occasionaly it refuses to connect to the modem/router.The only way I can get it to connect is to kill the modem, then fire it up again, doesn't happen often but it's the only way it will connect.Glitch ? ![]() |

Step one, purchase telstra 3g modem. Step two. Apply 1L of unleaded down 3 or 4 telstra pits Step three. ignite I've been seriously thinking about doing something like this. There's one of those old timey steel cylinders that they work on down the corner of our street and there's a Telstra bloke there every other day trying to fix one thing or another. Wonder if I could get the Freightliner to tear the c**t out of the ground along with a couple hundred metres of copper.... Or as you said, petrol and the pits. It's seriously a joke. We only started getting a stable-ish internet connection here in about October/November. After nearly a year of no internet or stable phone service. Now it's gone back to shit. ![]() Same problem every so often. sry dude, i'm out front of ya house downloading pron. thought you were out and wouldn't notice. ![]() Dude. f'king share you hog! looper is pretty good. moving namely packing to move is shit. even when you're done you know the process needs to be reversed at the other end. bam get another modem, failing that run a long cat 5 cable cheap as and much more stable. crappy older computers have shit internal wireless. we should harvest more asteroids. |
