This competition, as per the first post, is on 24th August 2003 at Dynosource on Spencer Drive at Nerang. We are planning to put Grump2 on the rollers at 9am and keep going until the late afternoon early evening. Grump2 will also be the last car to run.

Im putting OVL666 on for a run if the new motor is run in.It came home tonight now just got to wait for chiptorque to become free for the dyno so i can get the final tune on it. At this point in time its booked in for monday week unless someone pulls out next week and i can squeeze in.

Entry forms are now available. Brooke from McKern Racing / Smart Sparks is leaving them at performance shops and may be handing some out at the Broadwater over the next couple of weekends. We already have a lot of cars entered, so please let us know as soon as you can.

For the record, Grump2 also has some new parts on the way. Additionally, whilst checking hose clamps we found a couple of boost leaks, so we should get a little more power out of the car now, and maybe even less boost. As for the amount of boost we run, Scotty, me engine builder builds one tough motor, we can run 35psi without a worry in the world, no temperature issues, no boost loss, no compression lost and this here motor ain't going to split any time soon, unless we play with the tune without a dyno!

The rain seemed to slow down distribution of entry forms, but feel free to PM me or email me at [email protected] to enter or for a form. We have confirmed all details, and everything is ready to go for next Sunday.

They arent leaving the doors open we have a number of big plama screens for viewing.

Leaving the doors open would be very bad. Some of these cars are seriously loud and also emit some race fuel type smells. I wouldn't like people getting close to front of cars either, I think you will understand once you have seen serious unmuffled street cars on the screens and through the windows. biggrin.gif

well mien rolled up on chiptorques dyno today and made 225rwhp WHICH ISNT BAD FROM pratically a stocko.

going to get some kays up on it between now and sunday and have another run.

going south go past repco and super cheap along spencer rd and it is on the right just at the crest of the hill same place that southerlands american car sales inbetween the glass joint and the truck dealership fone shop out that front

Grump2 will be having a turn at 9am to kick the thing off. Second up should be an LJ Torana, now discovered to sport a 400ci motor plus NOS, third should be a GTR making 200kw to all four. This means decent action from the get go......
