One of these big funkers.

I know they are off the shelf "cheapie" surround sound setups, but seeing as we rarely have ours turned up much (joys of living in a unit complex) they will fit the bill for now.

Oh, plus about 5.5k worth of new furniture. Come at me, king size bed!

Why buy the big dog sony system if you never turn it up ? thats all the big sony system is good for, being extremely loud and overly bassy, wouldn't it make more sense to buy a smaller better quality setup if its never going to see high volumes ?

I own them and i reckon they are the best value sound system you can buy, so much noise for $800-1K use mine mainly for pre drinks ect, cant fault them for sheer noise and bass as well as looking un funking real.

I should have clarified.... For now they won't be getting much volume to them, being that I'm a courteous neighbour to the other units. However, we are moving house at the end of this lease (Jan 2013) and will be getting a house instead of another unit. Then it'll get some volume into it. Plus I had budgeted to spend roughly 1k, it was on special at $988 so it fitted the bill.

Good to hear... It's sitting here teasing me at the moment. Can't plug it all in and power it up til our new TV and furniture turn up, plus I go to Thailand on Tuesday, so it'll be a good 3 weeks or so before I can see it in action sad.gif

Did you buy it from that tag exchange website or in the US? If from the US was it much cheaper than Aus?

Not bad, not bad. But for some reason I'm not all that fussed on the Tag range of watches. Then again I have EXTREMELY expensive taste when it comes to watches, for which I sadly don't have the budget for sad.gif But in preference I would go an Omega over a Tag. Blancpain, Breuguet, A. Lange & Sohne, Phillipe Patek to name a few watch manufacturers that I would sell my first born and my left nut to own any one of their fine timepieces.

Because the AC in the Golf MkV's is so funking reliable, had to buy new compressor, receiver dryer and expansion valve >< Save about $300 getting it from a VW dealer in the US instead of buying it locally. Scum!
