Rearranged and welded on fittings to w2a intercooler, oil change, started to play with cold start and idle setting on the ecu when noticed only had about 12 volts with the car running. Pulled alternator and will see about taking it somewhere and getting it fixed this week.

On the plus side exhaust has to come off to remove alternator so I got to putt around the yard making a heap of noise.

Its finally free!

OT- Parked it at work and watched the worksite across the road continue to move the mountains of sand, which is from where the Hilton in surfers was built. FML, black car and 100+ semi's or tippers + dogs going past it a day. Was filthy this arvy :(

Fixed coolant leak in the gf's S13. Working by touch only is a pain- stupid short little heater hose hidden up under the back of the inlet manifold! Then I noticed it dropped a cylinder halfway through roadtesting. :head_wall: Grrr!

Luckily I still have a couple of spare coils somewhere, but that can be tomorrow's job.. if it is still happening. :ohnoes:

Oil flush, then oil and filter change, put some de carbon stuff through it, some fuel cleaner additive. Followed by the fitment of a tacho :) and kill switch, and to top it all off some nice bright new H4 zenons.

ooo and i finally got around to refitting the gts badge on the grille ;) looks like sex.

Separated head and block, another few thousand kms and it looks like I would have had a BHG - then again the motors done 280k kms without being pulled down so not too bad. Attempted to remove driveshafts, 12pt socket is fucked for getting the big nuts off.

Went to start it, webs were connecting the car to the house wall... Thought hmm a bit bothersome, cleared them, went to open handle and was greeted with this big fuck you from the spiders...

So took a leaf from the evil dictator textbook and committed some more genocide, since the high pressure hose seems to have made even more come and occupy my car decided to implement harsher methods. Just over half a can of coles brand bug spray later, 20+ spiders lay dead as well as every moth, fly and other flying bug in the back of the driveway, literally a moth flew into backyard and dropped from the sky... Guess i should've worn a mask. :mamoru:

Not on my car, but actually on the model engine I bought

It was getting hardly any spark, so I pulled off the distributor to clean up the terminals. To do this, I also had to pull of the timing cover, timing belt, upper cylinder head, and cam. Reassembled, re-set the timing, and now it's working as it should. :D

Re-fitted the cargo barrier. It was the first thing that I removed when I bought the wagon, and it's been sitting under the house for over a year now.

Reason for re-fitting: Going away for a week with a bunch of friends, and they all drive hatch-backs/small cars, so my wagon has been deemed the packhorse.
