What Did You Do On Your Car Today+ - V2.0  

Gave the daily a good clean out ready to drive to the Gold Coast tomorrow.

Replaced 15" sub with my 12" because i like my rock music as much as the rnb

Pulled the engine out last night at about 10 and strapped it onto a pallet ready for it to be taken away within the hour this morning.
Hopefully the next powerplant will be making around 4 times as much power at the wheels.

Fixed my utes electricity issue, sanded a bit of the celica's tailgate down, and attempted to make another fonr chin spoiler for it, will see how it went tomorrow morning

Alternator belt snapped, tried to make it home but conked out on Stafford Rd. Ran to Ultratune who saved the day but didn't have a belt in stock, car will be fixed tomorrow

Fitted the rims off my jetski trailer to my car to get the hektik logan spec look of skidders on the back. (Without cut springs)

Took stock rims down and had the old tyres removed. Prepped the two rims and primed them so they looked like this.

When that dried, I then prepped them for some 2pak black and painted them so they turned out like this.

This was on Friday and I let the paint cure over the w/e and will be getting new tyres fitted Wednesday. I might then attempt to run a small red pinstripe around the outer edge of the rim if I can find a way.

Painted all 4 centre caps black to match the wheels and also painted the Holden lion badge on the front grill black to. Should look alright I hope. Now contemplating what colour to paint the lion on the centre caps, now black, i'm thinking red .

After they were plastic primed.

B18c Box. you cant miss this, it's been through so many owners. dodgey pink flake paintjob. massive fuck off fibre glass kit. silly wheels. white `n black interior (leather). has a terrible tune and idles like shit. was built at 999 automotive. and engine bay is just ridiculously untidy.

i dont have a clue why, but if i knew who the original owner was at the time the conversion was done i'd be curious. i think it is the only b16 teg going round...not a good reason as to why either. probably an ex POV crew.

I wired up the digital climate control. Recirculate/fresh air works. All the air modes work and when the car is running I can test a/c and heater.

I ran the water temp, oil temp and oil pressure defi wires from their places in the engine bay to back into the cabin, up into the body loom to where they will plug into the gauges on the dash. Then cut a hole in the dash where the wires will go and screwed the defi cups to the dash neatly. Will post pics tomorrow

Had someone attempt to break into it, but they didn't get much further than smashing the window. I always deadlock it, so he couldn't manually unlock the door from the inside. But even if he had, the alarm would have gone off.

So got home, vacuumed all the glass, patched up the window until it gets repaired on Monday, then adjusted the handbrake.

Lucky! At least you were proactive about stolen cars and had yours secured properly.


I picked up the rims I painted last week from the tyre shop with fresh tyres fitted. Removed the unpainted rims and replaced them with the fresh ones. Really happy with how the rims have turned out and I am painting the pair of wheels I removed tomorrow as it was a bit cold tonight to attempt to spray, then I won't have miss matched rims

Except my battery terminals were just dirty.. took them off and gave them a real good clean.. plus charged the battery

Door Jambs were done tonight on my S15 I am THE happiest @#$! on the plant, the second I saw the paint, I couldn't stop smiling! Cannot wait to get my car back on the road

Pardon the shit pictures, I'm going to go there tomorrow and take pictures with my DSLR... Its funny how different light and a crappy camera phone makes it different.
