Nah not really, seems i hit a nerve telling him to get an LSD and he fired up. I doubt his car is making some bullshit amount of power to the point a conventional LSD wont hold up, so running a spool on the street is dumb and just being cheap/dodgy. Feel free correct me though.

Thinking about it another way it hardly seems logical to spend 1k on a lsd for a car that probably is only worth 1k on a good day anyways...

He probably doesn't need either with a stock rb30, which it mostly likely has.

OT: dropping the car off at the gearbox specialist tonight so he can replace a couple of bits that are playing up. Will pick it up friday arvo and hopefully have zero rev flares on gear changes!
[/quote]

Spent a whole day getting bits and pieces replaced, none of it worked. Hes never seen one do what mine does, and is lost for what it could be. Back to the drawing board. Also washed it.

Although the new shift kit setting is kickass.

That sucks, covered by warranty?

Listed my Chaser for sale unregistered on here, just to get the ball rolling til I get it back on the road. Just needs the front bar fixed to pass roadworthy, everything else about the car is fine. Spent some time car shopping, looking for the replacement for this and the land cruiser.

Changed the light globes in the Elgrand and the Magna today....bitch of a job!

Had to take out both batteries in the Elgrand to get to the globes, and a metal plates behind each side too. But did the parkers, low and high beams, about 2.5 hours for the lot. And the Magna was about 1.5 hours because had to take out the battery for the passenger side, and washer bottle for the drivers side.

I don't want to do it again any time soon!

Started to remove intake manifold etc in prep for doing the valve stem seals.

Didn't get very far once I was made abruptly aware that the plenum bolts are very, very soft. The hard (and now round) way :(

Oh nah I'm in perth on break haha.

I've used other peoples surface drive sockets in these situations in the past, with good success. So ill try and source some of them tomorrow and see how I go.
