Pulled off the front passenger door trim to see why the lock occasionally sticks. Saw nothing, thought "Eh, F*ck it" and puffed some graphite power in the approrpiate areas. See how that goes.

Fixed an exhaust leak on the rear bank extractors of the Pulstart. Found the inner RH CV boot has been getting hot and needed replacing(I had a spare) so I also made up a heat shield. Have to do a wheel alignment this weekend now :(

Placed order with Superpro for all new suspension bushes and Selby swaybars in the STi... should give it a bit grip.

Before: Just standard VZ headlights.

A very naked VZ front end. Ignore that bend in the reo-bar, it was like that when I got the car. Also note the fully custom typical p-plater flexi-pipe CAI.

And now ze new SV6 headlights.

Pulled the whole dash out. Painted the black part with the grid satin black. Just need to get some coloured filters for a colour change. Pulled the wheel off, I have another (nicer) one coming soon to put back on. Checked out the dodgy ass wiring that makes no sense. Random (added custom) switch, one cable seems to be a ground, the other goes out into the engine bay.. ?? NFI what it does.

Tried to find the connecter that allows me to have the lights on with out the pop'd up. (DRL mod) To no avail. ಠ_ಠ

Removed the intake manifold to try and locate a vacuum issue, found a crack in one of the rubber sleeves and the others are fairly old and worn so replacing the lot.

Two of the three lines attached to the rear of the throttle control were swapped and sending the wrong signals to the incorrect components, fingers crossed once I get new sleeves and put it all back together it will all be sorted. Worried about the yellow substance sitting in the bottom of the oil fill filter, might have to pick up a new one of those as well if I can source one.

The coolant line running to the warm startup had a hole in it as well, pretty hard to see without the manifold off. Replaced that.

So you may remember I have been trying to change this CV Joint for an embarassingly long time. They are supposed to just slide out of the diff but in my experience doing these on Paj's, they never do......and this one has been the mother of all things stuck. This ended up being a full blown 3 man job - BBQ and beers, the whole shebang.

What I ended up doing was (bear with me here) welding a piece of chain onto what was left of the CV joint to get that decent amount of tug on it. Then we had my brother come round to be the man on the chain, me belting it with a hammer, and old mate came round to jimmy at it with a screwdriver. After a good while at that we gave it all we had on one last shot and POP this thing came flying out at a rapid rate of knots, smacking my brother in the foot (who was wearing thongs, and now hobbles).

You're not allowed to point out how crap that welding is until you too have had to weld galvanised chain onto a greasy, painted piece of CV Joint deep in the front end of a Pajero, lying on the ground thinking about how ludicrous this is just as a concept. Then, and only then can you tell me how crap the welding is.

Bodgy weld or not it bloody well worked! It was a seriously hard slog.

I hate getting "beaten" by a car in that sense and wasn't about to let a poxy CV force me into buying a new diff (which was the next item on the list if this didn't work so I'm bloody glad it did!).

This has been your unofficial Ghetto King, signing out.

Lowered it a bit more. I think it needs a bit more but even as it sits now it's not really driveable.
