i think what bustage is getting at is that these details should have been in the first post. you want customers to be able to find you. i know the details are only a quick google away but we've all seen how useless people are when they actually have to think and find the information for themselves. first thing they do is make a thread.

I'll never go off " Personal experience " unless it's someone close to me, the amount of bs going around to get a " sale " is beyond a joke. If you doubt someone/business go in a see them first hand its the only way to figure them out.

I'll come in the next couple weeks could just need some tyres to pass RWC.

Went to these guys today, needed a spare rim and tyre for my work car for a trip to rockhampton. These guys sorted me out quickly and with a really good price. Would reccomend to anyone and will be taking my ss there soon for some new shoes.

ok now i understand ! those new to ebay often get caught by the huge mark up on frieght . They list frieght to brisbane per tyre at $40 each and up to $80 each further west so you end up paying double for the tyre . The profit is made up in the frieght. So for the $74 for the tyre plus frieght to west qld is a total of $154 each plus your fitting. I dont know where you live but best read the listing properly first as you might get surprised.... And if you really like this tyre etyre store in geebung bring these in and im pretty sure well be much cheaper. This brand has been brought in over the years in small batches as the company is only a small beijing tyre maker. About the brand ; we have bought these before , probably 6 years ago as we were able to get a container then through another tyre contact (bsa wheels).....We will not buy them again , the company markets this pattern as a semi slick race tyre which is actually a federal 595 knock off, and of a very hard and inconsistent rubber density so they wear irraticklly in a scalloped way. Basically they wear like the car has got a lazy shock absorber so the tyre ends up wavey. It will cause heaps of vibrations and noise..Also the mould was so bad that the tread did not join up in several areas. Its just a really shit chinese tyre along side with chengshan, good run, bolex not to knock the advancement of the chinese tyre industry these days. Those brands were the early brands and i back many of the current range over the big names like bridgestones etc. Being in the game for over 10 years i know and see the good and the bad. Also good luck getting warranty when the tyre fails as they dont like to pay as they dont have the backing . I tried for months to get claims from them and in the end they ignored my emails and i just copped the loss. Anyway ring etyre store if you want to give bct's a chance 07 36239000. oh and actually even federal 595's suffer from this wavy wearing but no where near as bad. That why most the better chinese brands are moulding up michellins and continentals as they are proven patterns for wear ,noise, and performance. good luck buddy and if you want info on other brands im happy to help even if its from another tyre shop.. oh and also stay away from most of the indonesian brands as the compound used in them is poor and always fail on the wall. So they crack, perish and seperate really easily on the wall. We see it everyday , sometimes on tyres nearly new!!!!!

What about nexen cp641? korean brand mid range and silica compund cheap this month $120 fitted. Really like this brand its no 3 in korea (1 kumho, 2 hankook) so mid range quality but chinese price. And weve tried and tested them since release in oz and have proven themselves. But let me know if your chasing something else

Hacketts discount tyres didnt even want to fit tyres for me on the weekend, said they didnt have time so he said they wouldn't even order the tyres in for me. So I got some pace 215/45/17s from purnell tyres instead, awesome blokes and extremely helpful, i'll be going back to purnell tyres for sure.

This is a common thing in the industry , specially busy stores but weve always tried to treat all our customers like mates . We try to make it fun as tyres can get boring after 10 yrs , plus we want people to come back. But We've had plenty of heated words with customers but thankfully they all get sorted out.

You rocked up at a small budget newly emerging shop and they were closed and you might have had to have had come back another day or what about when you knocked and no one answered you tried calling the number to see if maybe they were just out the back, but you're all butt hurt like they fiddled with you kiddies while you were in the bathroom.

Everyone from southside who has been into cars for a long time knows purnell tires, the fact that they have gone from literally selling shit from his house to what they are now purely on word of mouth says they're doing something right

We used to but now michellins want us to be a exclusive dealer. That means we only sell that brand. So we canned that as I wanted the choices of different brands . Although michellins are a top brand , all of the big names make a bad tyre in 1 particular size or pattern. So I don't want to be forced to lie if I have to sell that tyre . I'd rather tell them it's crap and put them onto a better choice. See most the franchise stores have this problem as they have to push a particular brand even if they know that tyre is shit
